St. John Westin Villa Beachside
1. Communication with the actual owner was excellent and thorough.
2. The Westin Property itself is subpar period. The pool was far too cold. The pool deck and hot tub are scary dirty and not even close to resort quality. Very unappealing to the well traveled resort quality experience.
3. The grounds are not well manicured at all. The gardens and plants and overall landscaping again not resort quality. Weeds. Lack of ground cover, lack of ample mulch or stone or water bed cover used.
4. Sidewalks are filthy. Feces on sidewalks from animals that may be there for over 24 hours
5. Golf carts running around everywhere for staff is abused. Yes they need them to supposedly shuttle guests but these carts are getting used by staff everywhere and not just guests. The sound of them begins around 6 am.
7. At 7 am you will be awoken by leaf blowers and other power equipment and more golf carts swinging around everywhere
8. We got shuttles to our room upon check in after getting our welcome drink and the driver drove at top speed around corners etc and my wife ended up wearing her drink.
9. We paid far too much for this property for the experience. That’s on me because we really wanted to try USVI as a vacation spot
10. This is NOT a resort experience. If you are ok with a 3 star hotel like experience and you can get for $400 a night then maybe it works for a group of young adults.
11. frankly I cannot believe it is a Westin at all. But the brand has been going down.
