Could be better, pretty area.

There were three main issues: one was cleanliness. There were dead bugs around, on the beds, cobwebs in the shower. Another was wifi, it was not turned on late at night when we arrived. That leads to the 3rd. I had emailed 3 days before that, because I was from overseas, my phone would not have service until we arrived. She hadn't given us checkin instructions, so I was going to email her when we arrived. But no wifi. It was midnight, and our cottage door was unlocked, so we didn't knock on their door (we didn't really know it was their place nextdoor anyway). Then she told us the next morning that her husband stayed up waiting for us until 2am. But they could have noticed us...we drove in on gravel, closed car doors, turned on cottage lights, and didn't know where their door was. And had no wifi. The next morning the husband unlocked the cottage door and walked in. Surprised to see us. They were nice enough, but I suggest cleaning before arrival and give clear checkin instructions. And fix the wifi.

Charlie and I emigrated from the UK 12 months ago, from the rat race of London, although living in the beautiful Hertfordshire country side we decided the draw of NZ was winning and with our two sons and two grand daughters here it made sense to make the move. We couldnt be happier living the dream in NZ

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with our property as soon as we saw it, the cottages need updating that we did mainly for family who stayed over but we have had people asking to rent it for the odd night so we thought why not offer our little bit of paradise to others to use.
