It's all about the view, the Lake & nature in this quiet & relaxing area.

Enjoy stunning sunrises, cooling afternoon breezes, walks along the Lakefront, fishing or a paddle, the kayaks are ready & waiting for you. Bring your boat or jet ski as there's room in the secure, fenced front yard for your trailer. Enjoy games on the waterfront reserve or sit on the balcony with a cuppa or glass of wine and do some people watching. Do a lot or do nothing but soak up the fresh air & serenity, it's up to you. All this within a short stroll of the local shops & the Bowling Club where you can go for drinks & a meal.

Your comfort is our priority, that is why every room has its own reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans.

The nightly rate is based on up to 7 guests. It is very important to indicate the correct number of guests on your booking request as this will determine how many beds need to be made and number of towels required.

YES, ALL LINENS and BATH TOWELS are INCLUDED in the nightly rate. All you need to bring is a beach towel!

Omaroo is a strictly NON SMOKING home. Smoking on the premises, including the undercover areas, is NOT allowed.

If you are contemplating a gathering/party, please read the following information:

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested prior to your booking being accepted and if approved must be approved via email. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If more than 5 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

There is a STRICT NO gathering/party or events policy.
If you are unsure if your booking will fall into any of these categories please ask prior to us approving your booking.

As a result of a few previous guests inability to adhere to House Rules we have been forced to take action to alleviate any future disputes. With regret we will now be activating the Security cameras facing the driveway and front door only. All other cameras on the property remain off during your stay.
Breaches of house rules may result in additional charges and/or eviction.

The house was very clean and modern with everything you needed. Great communication with our host. Easy check in with key safe. The house is located in the ideal location for us as our daughter lives within walking distance so it makes it easy for a family and friends catch up.

Perfect Easter Break

Great property for a long Easter weekend for my wife and three teenage boys. Proximity to Lake and use of kayaks were ace and great spot to walk to shops and Bowling club too. House and communication was spot on. Weather was excellent too ;)

Relaxing Amazing weekend

The property was in a beautiful location. Very comfortable with temeperature controls(fans and aircon) in every location. Very clean and modern. The host was wonderful and easy to communicate with. We would stay there again.

The house was very clean, well thought out spaces, and comfortable for our family. The location is second to none - stunning views over the lake, a short walk to shops and club, and easy access to other great spots on the coast. Great communication from the host, no stress, very easy. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

Very comfortable place with a nice view

This recently renovated and thoughtfully equipped place was truly a pleasure to stay in. Great view, comfortable beds, Netflix and everything we needed to cook great meals together made for a great, easy holiday for two small families. The description is accurate, but was even better than expected.

Beautiful weekend away

We stayed at this beautiful property for two nights and we all were so happy with the house. It was clean and modern with an amazing view. Rosemary was so lovely and communication was an ease. Beautiful view

The place is so nice and relaxing. Me and my family really enjoyed our stay. Rosemary is very accommodating with regards to my questions. The place is new and everything you need is there already. We also enjoyed kayaking as the house includes a 4 kayaks to use with life vest. Walking distance with the shops, pharmacy, meat shop. All you need to enjoy your holidays. A view with a lake that is just walking distance and can do fishing as well. This place is a highly recommended ♥️♥️

Nice location- horrible experience

Rented the property for additional family members as we own a property in the street. From the minute we arrived neighbours were staring and constantly watching. One wanted a conversation when I just arrived and trying to unpack and she knew all my details. Day 2 ( Boxing Day) received an email from owner questioning car numbers and parking locations, this showed we were constantly being monitored. Most guests just moved out and slept on the floor at our property as we couldn’t relax being watched. Very disappointing given we paid over 400 a night, owners shouldn’t be renting it out if they are so paranoid about the property, people want to be left alone and relax. Too many rules, it was way over the top. Will never stay again, ruined our Xmas break.

As a couple we are both active and sporting people. We have always loved being in, near or around the water, be it ocean, lake or river. We have no children but adore spending time with our extended family & their children. Being busy professionals we value down time and this home offers relaxation and quiet.

Why they chose this property

My husband & I had been looking for a home by the water that we could potentially retire to, eventually. Far enough away from the hustle & bustle of Sydney but close enough to get back for our families if needed. It had to be North, the water is far too cold in the South! I stumbled across the suburb of Gwandalan in my travels while on the hunt for a property within the Central Coast. The opportunity arose to purchase this renovators delight, the classic early 60's pole home with potential, so I jumped at the chance. After a COVID interrupted full renovation the house is finally finished & is now available for others to enjoy this wonderful location. Whether you want pounding ocean swims, clean Lake paddling & fishing or a bush walk it's all right here within a 10km radius. There are some great restaurants and friendly local clubs. The large shopping centre and Cinema at Lake Haven is a comfortable 20 minute drive. Gwandalan & Summerland Point have a great community with a caring community spirit. What more could you want?

What makes this property unique

The main reasons for buying in Gwandalan, and especially this house, was that view from the balcony of pristine Lake Macquarie. The elevated position provides a panorama that is hard to beat. However the most important reason is the best caring neighbours you could ask for!
