About this property
Spacious Rustic Cabin with Pond Views, Lake Access, Hot Tub and Dog-Friendly!
Welcome to our rustic cabin in the woods overlooking two natural spring fed ponds and located on 32 acres of gorgeous rocky forested landscape backing onto Crown land. With access to Weslemkoon Lake there is both land and lake to explore or just sit back and relax in the hot tub and take in the views.
The cabin has a new hot tub for your enjoyment, comfortably seating four people and overlooking the gorgeous ponds and forest. At night take in the billions of stars overhead away from the lights of city.
It is a wonderful area to explore nature, hike, ATV, snowmobile, mountain bike or go fishing in one of Ontario’s best bass and trout fishing lakes. Ask about our pontoon tours of the lake and island picnic and swim drop offs. Canoes and kayaks are available complementary with your stay.
The cabin is open concept and sleeps 5 with a double bed and bunk with trundle bed. Bring a blow up mattress and the cabin can sleep 6 comfortably. Linens, pillows and blankets are provided.
There is a dry kitchen, cutlery, plates, dishes and bowls, large eating table, wood stove, arm chair, games, mini fridge, coffee maker, outdoor fire pit, lounge chairs and a BBQ with side burner.
The cabin is warm and cozy with potable water provided and a small sink and bio toilet in the washroom. Hydro has recently been added for small appliance use. There are also upscale and tastefully decorated outdoor washrooms on the property just a short walk away. Outdoor showers at our comfort station just a short 10 mins walk away is also available.
Enjoy your experience without the tent but instead in your own secluded cozy cabin in the woods. A few games are supplied for family fun. There is a BBQ available for your use including a side burner. Bring your camping essentials (camping food, drinks, flashlight, etc). We can provide suggestions if this is your first cabin camping experience.
The rustic cabin is located less than an hour from Bancroft and 1.5 hours to Bon Echo Provincial Park. It is worth the drive to explore these incredible destinations while in the area. There are also local public beaches approximately 50 mins by vehicle.
The surrounding area has many extensive trails, and fishing kayaks or small fishing boats can be rented at the property. Advanced booking is recommended.
The local marina is a short walk away and provides basic camping essentials, some groceries and Kawartha Dairy ice cream.
Take in all that nature has to offer and enjoy the amazing night sky with thousands of stars while sitting around the warm glowing campfire in the evenings and listening to the sounds of nature.
