The Baby Owl takes the essence of artsy glamping to new heights of comfort and chic. The Baby Owl is proudly true to its name: quaint and brimming with personality.

Born from the creativity of Austin-based artist and interior designer Kerri Curtis, the Baby Owl masterfully blends vintage and modern elements that uniquely transform this 1960's bungalow into a three-dimensional work of art. Features from the original home are seamlessly combined with contemporary
touches to produce an intimate space of unprecedented spunkiness and panache.

If not boating, rafting, jet-skiing, floating in the beautiful cove, or soaking in the views from the water’s edge, guests can fully savor lake life by relaxing inside the cozy Baby Owl.

Other inviting possibilities include nesting in one of the private outdoor gathering spaces that wrap-around the backyard with tables, chairs, and lazy loungers. Cook, eat, and enjoy sipping favorite beverages while taking in the starry night from the rooftop deck or bubbly hot tub.

Enjoy unforgettable character with direct water access, expansive blue water views, sufficient parking for a boat or other watercraft, and all the amenities of modern living (high-speed wifi, cable TV, laundry, etc.).

For the adventurous owlets wanting to explore to the water’s edge, the property does have direct lake access courtesy of the metal stairs behind the house however they are steep so extra care is recommended.

This place is a vibe in the best way

We stayed for a girls weekend getaway and this place was a vibe in the best possible way. It is every bit as cute as the pictures lead you to believe and well appointed. The location is good and despite the newer build next door the lake views are still a treat. The yard and outdoor amenities are nice and the kitchen was well stocked. I would absolutely stay here again.

Girls Weekend.

Overall, enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet, plenty of parking. Very nicely decorated. Unfortunately, there was a strong skunk odor inside the home and there was an animal in the crawl space under the house one night that kept a couple in our party awake so they ended up sleeping on the couch. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the property.

Wonderful Stay!

My family and I had such a great time staying at the Baby Owl. The house looked exactly like the pictures and had everything we needed. My mom loved being able to get in and out of the hot tub whenever she pleased. Her only complaint was that we did not bring food to feed to the deer that roamed near the property.

Great little house for a weekend getaway

Super cute house nestled in the hills. Lots of deer & other wildlife. The view of the lake is somewhat blocked by the neighbors home but you can see enough of it that the home still feels like a “lake house.” Comfortable beds. Home fully stocked with all the necessities. Hot tub was clean & well maintained.

Everything was really amazing. The hot tub was not exactly the best and the A/C was not cooling well:/ Everything else was awesome! Gorgeous sunsets and views!

Great little place!

Very clean! Small house with a lake view. Although the view is definitely obstructed by the neighbors house. The house is super cute with eclectic decor. My kids loved it. Lots of seating areas for the family. House was very clean. Hot tub and fire pit were perfect to use. But house is old and small and quirky. Kitchen has what you need but nothing extra if you want to do some real cooking. WiFi worked great. Beautiful area!

Well done place

Nice property with a few things to tweak. On line pictures need to be updated as view is now substantially obstructed by new adjacent home construction. Also it’s shown as 2 bath online but is 1 1/2 bath. Otherwise it’s a very nice property with well done decor.

Not easy lake access

The house is small and neat in the inside. Really well decorated. We wanted a last minute road trip with easy lake access. Total fail. The water level is super low making it impossible to get to the water edge. After going down the stairs over 20 steps, down the rocks, in between tall bushes, we arrived at the lake only to find out it is not a good spot to swim. It is only 13min away from Comal Park so that’s a plus. The deers do not come near the house because the driveway is rocks. But you can see them over at the neighbors. The outside sitting is a nice spot to relax. The bedroom with the half bath is good in size, however the bathroom is super small, hard to move around if you are on the plus size. Also the closet has a sensor light which turns every time you switch position in the bed. There is only one shower. I’m sure this home was perfect when the water levels were high but right now is good enough to sleep in and get away from the city.
