This cozy cabin is ideally situated for winter fun. We skated on Mirror Lake, went up Hurricane, and had great pie in Keene. After dinner, we’d unwind with a nighttime snowshoe hike using the trails around the cabin or with a little music, courtesy of the house guitar. Very clean and pleasant!
The cabin is very comfortable, clean, and charming. They provide lots of amenities to enjoy at the cabin including a karaoke machine, a jacuzzi, and a fire pit. It's also at a great location to access lots of outdoor activities.I didn't have any communication with the hosts, so i can't comment on that.
Fantastic place. Nice and secluded but with plenty to keep everyone entertained. The cabin building itself is really interesting.

Quiet cabin in the woods
Nice little cabin that had everything we needed. Great location with just a short drive to numerous trailheads. Kids loved coming back to the cabin for some frisbee golf. Would definitely stay here again.

Cabin in the Woods
The cabin was wonderful. It had everything we needed and then some! We were in the area visiting family. I wish I could have stayed longer!!
This cabin is a little piece of heaven. It is spotlessly clean. The windows in the bedroom allow for stargazing in the comfort of a comfy mattress. Loved the firepit and the jacuzzi.
Loved this property, we were looking for a quiet family friendly place to spend the weekend and we were blown away by this listing.
Our little family enjoyed easy hiking around the property itself, building fires, roasting smores, and making memories.
This property had everything, solid wifi in a low service area, many activities from Frisbee golf to a karaoke machine. One thing we all appreciated was the detailed instructions with pictures to assist with managing everything in the household.
10/10 will stay here again but next time gonna be for longer and more family
Great mix of a quaint cottage in the woods with lots of modern touches. Great to have the music setup and enjoyed playing the guitar and keyboard.
Lights in mud room turn on automatically and are too white and bright.
We loved our stay at the Little Cabin in the Woods. We wanted a cozy retreat from which to explore the area, go hiking, and relax by the bonfire at the end of each day, and it’s exactly what we got. The cabin is super peaceful, quiet, and secluded but with all the amenities to make it comfortable and convenient (including proximity to supermarket, drugstore, gas etc.)
Kitchen had all the necessities and made it possible for us to cook all our meals during our stay. Very comfortable main bedroom with clean and spacious bathrooms. Love the witch windows next to the bed that allow you to see the moon and stars at night from bed, and the soaring pine trees in the morning.
We loved our stay at the Little Cabin in the Woods. We chose the cabin for its location being close to town for groceries and restaurants yet far enough from town for the wilderness. Very private location in the pine forest very peaceful. Loved the private trails on the property and they are well marked and gorgeous. Nice a map was provided for the trail. The jacuzzi was a nice feature to use after long hikes. Bed was comfortable and the view out the window upstairs allowed us to watch a deer and her 3 babies feeding on the clover. One idea might be to provide firewood for the fire pit as some users might not have a car big enough to buy the bundles that are for sale in town. Other cabins we’ve been to have a stack or wood. We surely loved our stay and would highly recommend The Cabin in the Wood.
Le chalet était parfait, douillet et très bien situé. Il comportait tout le nécessaire pour un séjour agréable. J’y retournerai sans hésiter!

Amazing stay in a cozy, warm, private cabin close to Lake Placid!
We really enjoyed our stay at this unique owner-built log cabin -- well appointed with everything we needed for a great getaway. We drove down a beautiful tree-lined winding driveway to a fairy-like cabin setting (fairies & gnomes abounded).
The owner and his family used large trees from their property and their own draft horses to build the cabin.
Sleeping by big windows where we could out look through tall pine trees to a dark sky with thousands of stars, was enchanting. The beds were very comfortable, with soft and warm bedding. Lots of dresser drawers for stowing your clothing and necessities.
The kitchen was perfectly set up with coffee maker, keurig, microwave, and full size refrigerator. There were plenty of electrical outlets conveniently located for charging phones and for plugging in my c-pap machine without needing an extension cord. Lots of hooks in entryway to hang outerwear.
The 1st floor bathroom has a glass surround corner shower, and the upstairs bathroom has a walk-in jacuzzi bathtub complete with mood lighting! Plenty of on-demand hot water.
There was a fast clothes washer and dryer -- you don't even need to bring any detergent!
Internet was fast and reliable, and the living room was a very comfortable place to watch tv. The owner is a musician and has a really high quality karaoke machine, and electronic keyboard, as well as a guitar which we had a blast using. So much fun playing some of the different games.
Another great thing was the miles of well-marked trails through the owner's woods. You can tell the owner was a forester because the woods look very healthy.
We really enjoyed how easy it was to get to Lake Placid where we were able to shop and see the World University Games. Elizabethtown has restaurants, a grocery store, a drug store, and Stewarts for all of your needs, as well as a hospital/health center. The cabin is also located close to lots of Adirondack High Peaks trailheads and waterfalls. The Blueberry Hill Trail System, another excellent local hiking area, is just up the road.
Another bonus for us was a really nice fast, free charger for our electric car.
All-in-all, we highly recommend the little cabin in the woods for your next Adirondack getaway!
