Revel at this lovely private beach house on the lake :--)
Need a break from the city? Thinking of a real rest? Who could blame you? Come relax in our modern beach house, nestled in a peaceful private bay and savour the county’s most delectable treats at your doorstep.
Perfect for a vacation, a cottage-like excursion or a workation. We welcome you to enquire about rates for long-term stays and for events.
This beautiful coastal style beach house will help you relax from the moment you enter the grounds. There's plenty of parking and a large lawn for playtime. The house windows reflect the blue waters lapping at your beach just steps from the door. All you have to do is get here; we’ve taken care of everything else. There are two full bathrooms and four bedrooms on two floors to comfortably sleep 6 adults and 4 kids (or some such combo). Washer and dryer are on site and we supply lovely linens and towels. We’ve also got you covered with all the small appliances from coffee maker to hair dryers to make you feel right at home.
Ready to play? Wade into the water to cool off or paddle out in the canoe or one of the kayaks (one single and one double) . The water is shallow, so the kiddies can splash about and make wonderful sandcastles with the provided toys.
In the mood to relax? Grab a book from our tiny library and flop into the beach hammock or lay on the dock and just feel the stress melt away as you listen to the waves.
Rainy day? No problem! There are board games, puzzles, toys and crafts for indoor fun as well as a DVD player and loads of golden oldy DVDs to revisit or share with your kids. The spacious house has room for everyone to enjoy their stay, with a chef’s kitchen to cook up those local gourmet treats and plenty of sitting areas to lounge and gab, all framed by stunning views of the gorgeous bay.
Workation? No worries. There's a delightful workspace set up in a larger bedroom overlooking the beach, where you can watch the swans and rabbits while chatting with colleagues.
The house has a regular drip coffee maker PLUS a Keurig coffee maker. There is also coffee and filters but if you have a favorite kind, feel free to bring your own.
SHARED SPACE sometimes: Waupoos Beach Commons has 4 dwellings on site. Sometimes people will be in the smaller dwellings, but just from May to Oct, as they close for winter. You will have access to the beautiful large house, it's lawn furnishings, fire pit on the beach and as well as all the outdoor equipment. You are invited to explore the entire outdoor property, including all the lawns and the beach.
Have a question about the house or community? If people are in the adjacent two cabins, they will be happy to pass on their knowledge or help with household issues! When on site, they generally stick to themselves and will certainly respect your privacy, but are always happy to say hello on the beach and they’re available to answer questions about the property or community.

We had an amazing two night stay for Victoria Day long weekend. The property is beautiful. The views from the living room are amazing. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need.
Amazing location! The pictures do not do the place justice. I have already started planning my next visit to PEC so I can stay here again. I definitely recommend!
Our family had a pleasant stay at the property. The house is steps away from a private beach area where our kids enjoyed playing in the water. The property includes several indoor and outdoor activities ranging from indoor games for kids, canoes, fishing, etc.
We especially loved the evenings around the campfire.
This was our first cottage experience and it was great! The cottage was comprehensively equipped, very comfortable, everything was easy to find and had little instructions too.
Thank you to our host!
Noah and the team were absolutely fabulous hosts. The property was gorgeous and the house was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our weekend away. They were quick to respond to any questions we had, and provide us with great recommendations for the area. We would absolutely recommend this space to others!
Our stay at this cottage was absolutely incredible! The view was breathtaking, and we were constantly in awe of the stunning natural surroundings. The cottage itself was beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, with every amenity we could need. From the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy living spaces, everything was thoughtfully arranged to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect getaway – we’ll definitely be back!
Spent the weekend here with our friends, four adults and four children, and there was plenty of room. Kitchen well equipped, comfortable beds and lots of toys/games to keep the children occupied. Beautiful view and quiet beach.
Right in the heart of cider and wine country, you could walk to a few cider places too. Would highly recommend.
We where attending a wedding in the region so our family ranged from 36 to 90 years old . The cottage accommodated us so perfectly. This was late October the scenery was magnificent with all the fall Colors .Anytime of the year would be perfect there.Strongly suggest.Host very accommodating.
This truly surpassed my expectations in every way. The autumn colour was amazing and we lucked out with an unusually warm weekend. There was a lot to do nearby. The unit is beautifully decorated and fully equiped with everything one might need. The view is stunning. It was quiet and peaceful. We were a little confused as to where we should park, but no one else was around, so it didn't matter. We hope to be back for a much longer stay.
I spent a weekend at this property with 6 of my friends and we absolutely loved it. The house was clean and spacious. We loved that there were enough beds for everyone to have their own. The beach looked amazing but it rained all weekend and was chilly so we stayed inside. There was a nice assortment of DVDs and board games. Everything was clean and comfortable. It isn't too far from town but it's on a really quiet road with lots of privacy. Everyone appreciated the funny little signs around the house. 10/10 would live there forever.
A few girls and I went here for a weekend away. It was lovely. The house is in a great location and a good size. We were able to walk down to one of the wineries and a cidery from the house. Noah was great at responding whenever we had questions. We were shocked at how large the bees/wasps were outside, I am thinking there may be a nest around. A few bugs here and there in the house (earwigs, spiders, etc.), but that is what you get when you are at the cottage! The house was fairly clean, some dishes had to be re-washed before being used, but overall we had a great weekend and I would definitely book again or recommend anyone to stay here.
We had stayed at his property about 4-5 years ago, and loved it so much we returned. The location on the water is lovely and the overall decor is cottage like, and rustically modern. A very comfortable and well laid out space. I would say though that the cleanliness wasn’t up to our standards. If I had feedback for the owners it would be to ensure that the floors are clean, the couches are without stains, the fridge should be emptied for each new guest, and they should ensure that the doors all locked upon a guest’s arrival. The outdoor area could have been swept up as well. The sun room is outstanding We did love the place overall and had a fabulous time together. I would recommend staying here anytime!!
The Total Solar Eclipse at a Prince Edward County Beach house
It was magical, for many reasons, family bonding, celestial happenings, and all of the magic taking place in this cosy charming beach house. I made the reservations April 8 2023. I briefed the family throughout the year to keep them interested. It exceeded everyone's expectations. There was the lake, the wildlife, the friendly knowledgeable neighbours and the indoor spaces of the house. We gathered round the kitchen island to prepare the meals, we ate together around a large dining table, we played Scrabble and Quiddler in the cosy sunroom, walked the lakeside at sunset and repaired to comfortable beds for sleep. I strongly recommend the Beach house to any crowd of family or friends who want to share experiences and bond together in this big confusing world we live in.
