Beautiful century-old house completely renovated with care, character and all the amenities for a great time with friends or family.
The 1500 square feet condo offers three closed bedrooms and one full bathroom. This rental sleeps 6 persons. This condo is located on the ground floor. There is a condo located above. It is called the Zen Condo. We have completely renovated the house and paid special attention to soundproofing. But this house is made up of two condos. Each condo has its own parking and specific entrance. There is no shared common space apart from the outdoor lot. Each condo has its balcony/deck.
The condo includes an electric fireplace, one BBQ, a great porch with complete outside table and parasol, a large backyard with a picnic table and three swings (shared with the other condo upstairs). There is a park with several children's games in summer and a winter ice rink in winter a 2-minute walk away.
The condo has its own large driveway, porch, picnic table and entrance.

We stayed a couple of nights as the 'overflow' for a family get together at a cottage on the water. The space was great for us as we were traveling with a two year old who really enjoyed playing with the toys and games available - and things were nicely private and quiet for him to sleep according to his schedule.The big backyard was also great as a safe place for young children to play.

The mattress and curtains were good. We enjoyed the spaciousness and quiet. The location was convenient.
This is a terrific home, exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. Patrick communicated all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. We visited during the total solar eclipse and had a spectacular view right from the back yard!
Property was clean and well stocked. Owner promptly answered questions and checked in halfway through stay to make sure things were as expected. Property is 20 minutes from town of Stanstead and downtown Magog. Would definitely stay again and have recommended to family who also need to stay in this area from time to time.
The place was clean and comfortable. I like that the little things were taken care of…coffee, sugar, condiments, etc. Outdoor space would have been nice had it not rained every day.
The house is spotless. We had everything thatbwe needed. There is a grocery store and filling station right next to the property. The host was very hepful with tips and recommendations about touristic spots. We loved our stay.
My wife and I enjoyed the one night that we stayed at this property. Patrick responded impressively in our communications with him. There were no problems. One surprise for us was to find that the “entire house“ description could be a little misleading; that is, the rental is for the main floor. There are people living on the upper floor. That distinction between “entire house” and “entire building” is a tricky one, but it is for us, not the owner, to be more careful.

Great communication with the host set up a very nice stay on the ground floor of the old house in Fitch Bay. It seems that this VRBO rental was just recently been set up. Some improvements could be made to the comfort of the beds (they are a little too hard) and the kitchen dishes, cutlery, knives etc. should be upgraded as profits allow. Nice clean place for 4 guests. (6 guests is pushing it). We would rent it again.

My name is Patrick Daneau. I live in Montréal but always and big interest for the Eastern Townships area. I discovered the area in 1995 and made my plan to retire in there when I'm at that point in my life. In the mean time, I renovated this beautiful 1890 wooden house in the center of FitchBay, just in front the church.
Why they chose this property
Located in the center of the village, you have access to the gas station, a great butcher, small grocery store and and a wide selection of wine (SAQ agency) and beers. Very quiet area in the country side while just away from so many great lakes, Orford national pack and so many other activities in summer and in winter. Just 15 kilometers from the U.S. border.
What makes this property unique
I renovated this 1890 Eastern Townships architecture house with respect and with the help of an artisan carpenter. For the interior, I asked an experienced designer to get the final touch.
