Very secluded cabin located deep in the beautiful woods of Northern Michigan. The host was incredible to work with and I would highly recommend for a couple or family that would like to get away and enjoy nature. Lots of surrounding lakes with great fishing and not far off the expressway. Would stay here again!
Beautiful property and John the host was great with the whole process and communicating about the property. We will definitely be staying here again in the future
We stayed at this cabin for half a week, and had a very relaxing and wonderful experience! All of the pictures do this cabin justice, and you can tell a lot of love went into the property. We will for sure be looking out for this property next year!
Cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed to relax. Communication from property manager was great!

Very cozy , could use brighter, lighting inside , also tried to use microwave and it didn’t heat up overall setting was darling. Definitely could use a little updating but love the idea of what you’re trying to do
Surrounded by so many beautiful trees, this cabin has a fantastic patio for multi use, stocked kitchen (with an igloo ice maker that makes ice super fast!), lots of beds, and plenty of space to lounge after a long day hiking and exploring the area.
Beautiful rough log cabin in the pines! An up north smell and feel of an old times cottage! Warmth of an old wood stove, plent of good oak logs just outside the door, enhanced by a gas heater, warm enough with wood stove alone. Thank you for the stay, look forward to next time!
10/10 – Absolutely Perfect Stay! Our family loved every single moment at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, we felt peace and calm settle over us. The attention to detail is incredible — you can truly tell the owner poured their heart and soul into building this by hand. Everything from the cozy woodwork to the breathtaking views felt personal and extra special. It’s peaceful, private, and beautifully crafted — the perfect escape for families, couples, or anyone needing a break from the chaos of everyday life. We spent our days relaxing, exploring nature, and just soaking in the serenity. This is hands-down the only place I’ll ever stay when I’m in Michigan. Highly, highly recommend — you’ll fall in love with it just like we did! Honestly, I never want to leave. I know when you stay here you will feel that same way. Give it a try, you’ll be glad you did. :) Tip: just make sure you add on that extra day/s because you will not want to leave. I am already planning my trip to come back. God-willing, I hope to return every year!
Nice secluded place. Good outdoors. We brought our dogs. They loved the outdoor. In this cabin the sleeping arrangements are on the second floor. The stairway was uneven - our dogs had much difficulties to get up and down and frankly were scared of them. It was difficult to keep the place warm - we did burn a lot of wood. We are thankful that the owner provided as much wood as needed. Communication with the owner was amazing. He was very helpful. Good shower and good kitchen equipment.Overall it was very nice.
The cabin and area are beautiful, but the cabin is rough. The railing at the edge of the loft was not safe, and two floor boards were unattached at the edge of the loft. We were eating at the dining table and a bolt fell down. Basic necessities were missing like salt, sugar, kitchen towels, and wash clothes. The host was easy to communicate with and willing to reimburse us for any items we needed which was helpful. We make the best of it and had a great time. The location is beautiful.

Hi Elizabeth, thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the beautiful location and that we were able to communicate effectively during your stay.- Safety Concerns: I wasn’t aware of the loose floorboards or railing prior to your stay, but I immediately offered to send maintenance to address the issue, which was declined. Repairs have since been completed to ensure guest safety.- Supplies: I offered to provide additional washcloths and essentials during your stay or reimburse you for anything needed, but I appreciate your understanding that it wasn’t a significant issue.Your input helps us improve, and I’m happy you were able to enjoy your time despite these concerns.
