Why they chose this property
This home has been the love affair of our family. We are obsessed with the traditional 3-story home design. We were fortunate enough to build a classic design on this beautiful plot of land in the village we grew up in.
The small village of Burnstown is a hidden gem and is what we call home. It offers a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere. The village is home to a variety of local amenities, including restaurants, shops, and cafes, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're looking to relax and unwind or explore the natural beauty of the area, Burnstown is the perfect destination.
Within walking distance, you can visit the Neat Cafe for live music, wood-fired pizza and great coffee! Or the Blackbird Cafe for a classy lunch/dinner in the old general store. On your adventures, you can stop in at various art galleries! Just down the road you can relax at Burnstown Beach and cool off in the Madawaska where crystal waters flow from Algonquin Park.
Within a 10-minute drive up the Madawaska River, you will find yourself in Calabogie. A popular destination for year-round outdoor enthusiasts. Calabogie Peaks for skiing in the winter or Eagles Nest for a stunning hike/lookout. If you are into Motorsports then be sure to check out Calabogie Motorsports Park where you can drive your own car, rent a car, or watch series racing!

What makes this property unique
I fell in love with this property because of the stunning views of the Madawaska River and the steep banks that lead to it. The multiple decks that overlook the river are what truly captured my heart. In the summertime, you can't resist spending time outdoors, whether it's for dinner parties, lounging, or just enjoying a cup of coffee. The decks provide the perfect setting to do all of these things, with the tranquil sound of the river in the background.
Another feature of the house that I adore is the traditional three-story home design. The open floor plan of the main level makes it perfect for hosting gatherings with friends and family. The design allows for a seamless flow from the living area to the kitchen and dining area, making it easy to entertain guests.
The bedrooms upstairs provide a cozy and intimate setting for rest and relaxation. The design offers a separation between the main living area and the sleeping quarters, which provides a sense of privacy and tranquillity.
The house offers the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor living, with its multiple decks and traditional home design. The stunning views of the Madawaska River and the tranquil setting it provides make it the perfect place to call home.
