There were some pros and some cons. Pros: very friendly and helpful staff all over the property; easy check in process; able to check in earlier than 4pm since the room was ready; great location for walking to restaurants and bars outside the resort; clean bed linens and towels in our condo; great food and drink prices; clean pools, chairs, and tables; overall clean property. Cons: the property is dated and needs a refresher; not a lot of shaded areas around the pool, unless you ask for an umbrella (which isn’t always practical if it’s windy); we were moved to a different condo than the one we booked online but at least the property management put us in the building we requested when we asked; our particular condo had broken, dinged up furniture, dirty curtains, dirty floors, and we found a dried orange peel on the couch; the living room tv had a mess of wires coming out of it and when the TV was on, it had lines on the screen (probably about to go). I am used to staying at a different property in Rocky Point and that probably made a difference in my expectations. Although las Palmas is a decent property, my family prefers our usual resort along Sandy Beach. I think with Las Palmas there is a lot of variation between the condos rather than a single standard of cleanliness and upkeep. Despite the cons, we still enjoyed our trip and will be visiting Rocky Point again in the future.
