What a beautiful home! Waterfall Lodge far surpassed our expectations; the online photos don’t do it justice! All five bedrooms more than met our needs as they were spacious and accommodating. The family spaces were large and family friendly with the game room, hot tub, and plenty of entertainment!

Stayed at the waterfall lodge for a 2 night family staycation. The property was as advertised and easily accommodated 13 of us. We didn't get to experience everything the property had to offer but we hope to next time. Definitely recommend this cabin for anyone looking!

We had a fantastic stay at Waterfall Lodge. This property is everything you could ask for of a cabin. Very clean, plenty of room for our group, lots of activities, and close to a lot of hiking spots. Would recommend to anyone!

Kevin, so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Waterfall Lodge, it truly is a "Great House". Tons of room, both inside and out plus nicely located between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Definitely come back and stay with me again in the future!
We had the best time at Waterfall Lodge. The cabin is beautiful, clean and so peaceful, There were places to hime, outdoor seating, a fire pit, hot tub, games, foosball, pool, video games, books, with so much to do you never needed to leave the cabin. 10 people in the cabin didn’t feel crowded. We have talked about making a trip to the cabin a yearly trip.

We as a family always book a cabin for our Christmas get together, This home was everything we could have hoped for. Nice and spacious for all of us to enjoy being together or letting the kids do their own thing downstairs. Private and setting was ideal for what we were looking for. Highly recommend!!!

We had a great time celebrating our mom’s 70th birthday at the Waterfall Lodge! Very well kept rental property and spacious. We needed all the bedrooms and one of the rooms downstairs was locked. We were able to get in touch with the owner quickly and he let us know where to find the key for the additional bedroom. Would highly recommend!!

The waterfall constantly being heard as you stepped outside was our favorite part. The hot tub is wonderful, and the master bathroom is to die for! The kitchen was very spacious and we had plenty of room for around 12 people to enjoy a weekend here. I would recommend bringing an SUV for a more enjoyable ride, but it is just stunning! 10/10

David,
So glad you enjoyed your stay at Waterfall Lodge, it's a gorgeous family-sized cabin rental!! We are sorry that you were disappointed with the setting, we don't advertise the pond and the only picture shows the the picnic table and hanging double swing with the caption "Beautiful covered setting to relax and gather", you can barely see the pond in the background. We are very careful about false advertising and the pond is very small and not mentioned at all in the write up or the amenities. It's typically a pleasant surprise for guests when they arrive, although we agree :)
Have a wonderful day and we hope to see you again in the future ~ Mary
The directions had a lot to be desired. The roads need better up keep. The sign for the cabin should be bigger and illuminated in the dark. Many u turns had to be made. Up the hill neighbors were great in guiding us, overall had a great time.

Beautiful home/property!! Quiet and secluded, which is what we were looking for. Home could use updated bed mattresses. Also, we had to clean the patio furniture and decking because everything was covered in yellow pollen, and we wanted to sit outside in the evenings. Outdoor ceiling fans had no working lightbulbs in any of them. We did enjoy our stay, and would come to this cabin again.

HI Kristina,
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We do our best to keep the pollen from affecting our guests as much as possible, but it finds its way onto everything...even in screened-in porches!
We hope you come back and stay with us again. Have a great day! ~Michelle
We had the most incredible time!!! Please pay attention to the directions or you will get lost. I honestly felt like I was part of their family. I loved seeing their pics on the walls. It gave me a sense of connection to the home. The house had everything we needed and more. The property was beautiful!! I had no cell phone reception but honestly it was beyond amazing to be able to disconnect from work and the day to day hustle. Wi-fi worked fine.

HI Monica, Thank you so much for staying with us at Waterfall Lodge. We hope you will be back soon! Have a great day! Michelle
While the toughest and most stressful part of this vacation was the ice/snow/mud covered windy and at times narrow road...with no warning...I am sure it will be the most talked about part of the vacation for years going forward. We would not have brought one of our cars had we known we were going into those types of roads with thick mud on steep terrain...the other two vehicles were built for it and able to manage...although it did have us on the edge of our seats the first time in and out. I have looked back and don't see any mention of the need to be able to maneuver those types of conditions - needs to be more transparent there. The hot tub was not used the first two days as the water level was low and the heater was not working because of it freezing jacuzzi water. The maintenance man was able to walk us through filling it and using the breaker, etc...warmed up just in time for the coldest day of the trip...we weren't able to build up enough courage to go out into that cold while wet. We loved the cabin, the kitchen and kitchen tools were perfect! Loved that the fireplace in living room was activated by a switch! Really enjoyed the fireplace. Very nice master bathroom.

Hi Tara,
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Waterfall Lodge. We’re delighted that you appreciated the beauty of the cabin and enjoyed some of those great amenities.
Regarding the road conditions, we understand your concerns. Typically, the roads are not an issue; however, we experienced some of the coldest, iciest, and snowiest weather on record, which affected the entire North Georgia Mountains. The unusual conditions led to roads that remained frozen or alternated between ice and mud puddles as temperatures fluctuated. We apologize that these unpredictable weather challenges caused you stress during your vacation.
We’re pleased that our handyman was able to address the frozen connection to the hot tub—this was one of many problems that properties throughout the area encountered under these extreme conditions.
We would love to welcome you back during the warmer seasons when you can fully enjoy all the amenities, as well as the hiking and exploring opportunities our beautiful area has to offer.
Warm regards,
Morning Breeze Cabin Rentals

Mountain Get AWay
3 generations enjoying a weekend in the mountains. First of all, property said it accommodated the number of people we had (which included a three year old @ two six year olds). However, when booked we were charged an extra fee for number over 4 guests! This was a 5 bedroom house! Then I specifically asked about grill & was told one was there & it worked! After waiting 30 minutes only to reach a temp of 250, we gave up! Our first dinner there was a disaster! Then I asked about mountain road & told nothing to worry about. Road was more than “bumpy”! Thankfully roads held up while we were there. We contacted property manager & they sent Keith to check grill. He said it happens as there is often a gap between guests-got it working right away! Had him check doors as they were sticking, he said doorknobs were shot & needed replacing-he didn’t repair them & we just didn’t use them. Property was nice but obviously had not be used recently. Setting was beautiful but you were definitely in the woods/mountains. Paid a hefty price to have any kind of issues!

Jan, Thank you for taking time to review your stay. It sounds like your weekend in the mountains had its ups and downs. While the setting and the opportunity for three generations to spend time together must have been special, we are sorry the full experience had some issues. Some VRBO's, including ours, are priced per guest and that pricing is clearly shown prior to guests booking when the guest count field is correctly filled in. We are glad to hear that the property manager sent someone to fix the grill for you, we do apologize that it was not perfect for your arrival. We are glad you found the setting beautiful and yes, the mountains can have a few challenging roads here and there, glad it worked out in the end for you.

Nice place, listing lacked a few details
Our family had a great time at the Waterfall Lodge! It was nicely furnished and had plenty of space for us to all spread out. Saw some bears, which was really cool.
A few points to support my rating.
1)The 2-mile-long private road to the cabin is in very bad shape. Potholes, ruts, and spans of bare dirt where the gravel was missing, which was slippery in the rain. Should have been listed as a 4-wheel drive property. It took us 12 minutes to drive the 2 miles as we could barely drive 10 mph and had to avoid the potholes so when we drove back in for dinner, we were reluctant to go back out and do anything. (For reference, we drove a Honda Odessey and our adult kids drove small cars.)
2)The first-floor master suite was great with a really nice bathroom. When we went to hang up our clothes, we found that the master closet had a padlock on it. (Several other closets also were locked.) Two of us were left to share a single dresser and fold our clothes and there was no table for us to set up a suitcase. We also thought the master bed was just awful, as the mattress is uncomfortably hard and end of life with big divots on either side. Took lots of Tylenol. Should be upgraded asap!
3) I'm sure that the owners don't realize this but there were only 8 forks. Plenty of knives and spoons and cooking utensils though. We had to run the dishwasher every day. (One time the dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor and we mopped the water up with towels for about an hour.)

Michele, so sorry to hear that you had a disappointing stay at Waterfall Lodge. We usually get such rave reviews but it sounds like everything went wrong during your stay. Unfortunatelyl the roads are pretty typical of the North GA Mountains and these are dirt/gravel but very little uphill so we do not recommend a 4WD. We will have the cleaners and maintenance look over the list of issues that you during your stay and make sure everything is resolved that can be.
Have a great day ~ Mary
