Lovely family cottage on waterfront that suited our large group very well. The only drawback might be that a dehumidifier in the basement would be welcome.
Incredible beach, patio and leisure space throughout. Well equipped, great for local cycling, jogging, walking. Nearby town has a good range of restaurants.

Great spot for family vacation - plenty of room to spreadout. Beach is best on south shore. Prompt attention and response from owners regarding an issue that needed repair.

I kind of don’t want to do a review because of the fact I want to rent this place more and more. Nancy was super nice and accommodating, can’t beat the location, the cottage was so unique and beautiful, I will definitely be back.

We were mainly here for my wife’s birthday and we enjoyed our 2 night stay with family. The house has a private beach and is an amazing place for both summer and winter trips with frozen lake. It is very big and spacious will all the amenities. The host was super responsive and helpful with everything. She was flexible and understanding even though we made a few mistakes. But overall we enjoyed our stay and will surely visit it in summers.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay, and will look forward to hosting you in the summer soon.
the faucet of the upstairs bathroom is loose, when using one bathroom the other bathroom is not functional, the soap dispencers are diluted too much, a kayak or two would have been nice

Thank you for your review. Regarding the other bathroom, the shower 🚿 can be turned on by pulling out. I wish you had reached out to me, as I could have explained this. The soaps provided are herbal products from local farmer's markets and not diluted. As for water sports, please note that tenants participate at their own risk, and keeping kayaks on the property could make me liable for any injuries. Thank you for choosing our property for stay. Will look forward to welcoming you back in future.
The cottage is wonderfully spacious and has an excellent sandy beach front area with amazing views of the lake and the sunset. The many fans and open windows were good to keep the cottage cool in the evenings and overnight for sleeping. There were however some features that dampened our enthusiasm for this property. The WiFi was weak and unreliable, so for work Zoom meetings we had to venture into town. The water pressure was weak so when someone was showering no other water was available. The water pump in the basement was very loud for guests sleeping in the basement. Our group included young children, and the cottage had several glass cabinets with breakables inside, decorative items on coffee and end tables as well as several swords so it wasn’t ideal for us. The online photos of the patio and 2 new looking beach umbrellas/furniture didn't match what we found. The single beach umbrella provided was quite rusted throughout such that it could not be secured tightly into its base and the mechanism for opening the closing the umbrella was jerry-rigged. The “Propane BBQ” required guests to bring their own propane tank, information that was not provided to us in advance of our stay. The host booklet also indicated that specific white garbage bags only could be used and yet only one of these was provided.
Thank you so much for your feedback — I truly appreciate it.
