This 2nd floor corner unit is the perfect rental for any couples or singles looking for a conveniently located 1 bedroom in Fraser. Sophie's Stopover, brought to you by Mountain Vacation Lodging, is an affordable, recently renovated condo, just two blocks from the closest bus stop and Safeway in Fraser. It's only 1 mile from the train station so anyone coming in by train can quickly get to their condo. The owners took this studio down to the studs during the winter of 2023 and remodeled it into the cozy, modern 1 bedroom it now is. They removed the outdated baseboard heating and added radiant electric heat in addition to the electric fireplace. There is a small yet well equipped kitchen with a fridge, small 4 burner electric stove, microwave, toaster, crockpot, etc. There is no dishwasher so if that's a necessity for your group, this probably isn't the place for you. A great breakfast bar provides one option for meals as well as fold out tv tables, if guests prefer to dine in front of the tv. The TV is a SmartTV but also has cable. A pocket door separates the bedroom from the living room for additional privacy. For parking, guests can park up to 2 vehicles in the shared outdoor parking lot. If guests prefer to travel without a vehicle, the bus is accessible, the town of Fraser is walkable and there are Uber & Lyft options for alternative transportation. To top it off, the complex has a nice communal area with a large gas fireplace and coin-op laundry.

– 4WD vehicle information
– 4WD/AWD or vehicles with chains may be required to access this property when traveling during snow and winter weather conditions. The property is less than a ¼ mile off of a major highway, US HWY 40, which is regularly plowed.

** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. Good value for the money
Very clean and comfortable apartment. It is rather small, but this was reflected in the price. I would stay here again, but only for a few days. It was convenient having Safeway nearby.

The ad said “sleeps 3” so we were expecting a sofa bed additionally to the bed, there was only a couch, we asked for extra blankets we were told,“ there’s some in the closet “, no closet in the property. Ran out of toilet paper there was only a partial roll on the holder. After a set of very uncomfortable phone calls we were told to deal with it on our own, to buy blankets and an inflatable mattress and that they’ll refund us for it. That means to spend our Christmas vacation looking for stores that sells these items while the roads are covered with snow, the nearest store in Fraser Colorado is a Safeway which is a grocery store . We are very unhappy and unsatisfied, specialty because our 17 year old daughter had to sleep in the 4’ couch. This place isn’t suitable for a family of 3, but if you still decide to stay here make sure to bring a good white noise machine since you can hear everything the ppl from other units are doing and ppl coming up and down the stairs. Worst experience ever. They ruined our Christmas for being so dishonest.

Perfect spot and cozy place
Had a great stay. It’s in the perfect location to get anywhere. The place was super clean and the property manager got right back to me when I had a question. It was also super quiet at night, which made it even better. I went during the slow season, so maybe it’s a lot crazier in the Winter. Definitely recommend.
