About this property

Aspen's Envy | Stunning Mtn Views + Hot Tub & Pool Table!

With glorious mountain views, a location close to all the area’s attractions, and amenities that include a pool table, a hot tub, free Wi-Fi and a game room, Aspen’s Envy is as close to perfect as a cabin can be. Whether you’re visiting with the family or a group of friends, you’re sure to make fun-filled memories that will last a lifetime.

A three-story log cabin that can sleep up to sixteen people, Aspen’s Envy is within the gated Sherwood Forest Resort. If you’re here between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you’ll have free access to the resort’s outdoor swimming pool, which is just a five-minute walk from the cabin. And year-round you can benefit from the cabin’s proximity to the Pigeon Forge Parkway. The town’s main thoroughfare, the parkway is home to the Titanic Museum, a huge outlet mall, WonderWorks, dinner theaters, restaurants and more. Aspen’s Envy is also just 15 minutes from Dollywood and the many attractions of downtown Gatlinburg.

Another advantage of the location is the stunning view of lush woodlands and the Great Smoky Mountains you can enjoy from Aspen’s Envy. Kick back on a rocking chair on either of the cabin’s two decks and revel in the sight of falcons soaring over the mountains, the singing of thrushes and wrens in the trees and the gentle caress of the fresh breeze. Or for the ultimate in pampering, savor the sights and sounds while luxuriating in the main deck’s hot tub. Life doesn’t get better than this!

The cabin’s large windows let you admire the vistas from indoors too. What’s more, the sunlight streaming in shows off the burnished wood-planked walls, floor and vaulted ceiling to stellar effect. With its comfortable seating and stone-surround fireplace, the living area of the main floor’s great room is a particularly comfortable space for enjoying the sunshine and scenery—or for watching TV, reading, surfing the web or playing with the kids.

The great room’s dining area can seat eight people at its lengthy table and another two at the adjacent breakfast bar. A breakfast bar is also a handy place for guests to help the chef with meal prep… or to at least keep the chef company while he or she cooks. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and tableware. Whether you want to host a gourmet feast or just brew coffee and mix smoothies, you’ll find all the gear you need. What’s more, there’s a gas grill on the main deck.

When it comes to entertainment options, Aspen’s Envy will have you spoiled. You can shoot pool on the loft’s full-size billiard table, or you can play air hockey or foosball in the downstairs game room. The game room also has its own flat-panel TV—Aspen’s Envy boasts seven TVs altogether, along with an upgraded cable package—and a roomy sofa for lounging.

As many as six people can make the game room their sleeping quarters. Not only does the sofa open into a queen-size bed, but the room also has queen-size bunk beds. The kids will clamor to sleep here—they’ll love telling their friends back home that their bedroom had foosball and air-hockey tables!

Two of the cabin’s four bedrooms are also downstairs. Each of these bedrooms has a queen-size bed. The bedroom on the main floor boasts a king-size bed and the great room’s sofa into a queen-size bed. The loft is home to the primary suite, a truly luxurious retreat unto itself. In addition to a sumptuous king-size bed, it features a fireplace, a jetted tub and a private full bathroom. Two more full bathrooms are on the main floor and downstairs.

Aspen’s Envy offers something for everyone: awe-inspiring scenery, fun and games, a romantic retreat, large spaces indoors and out where the whole gang can gather, and a wonderfully convenient location. We suggest you reserve your stay today—before someone else beats you to it!

Sewage smell nightmare

Raw sewage pouring out a large tank right next to the house was terrible. The doors had large gaps making the smell come inside. The roof leaked by the fireplace, all sinks had ants, faucets were leaky, there was a broken dresser, wore out ziptied pool table and fans that clanked a when used.

Perfect spot

The Aspen Envy is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. Our group of 10 rangs from 8 year olds, teens, adults, and a senior. The cabin is also centrally located which made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. I highly recommend this property to any travelers.

Great cabin

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Aspens Envy with our crew of 12. Large enough to spread out but small enough to still feel like we were spending time together. Arcade was a big hit with the teens. View was spectacular. Would definitely visit again

Great Stay

Great Stay except, TV in living room we couldn’t hear the sound to good because the speakers were blown. The big windows on the 3rd floor needs cleaning and there was small roaches in kitchen other than that it was great. We enjoyed it.

Winterfest 2023

We brought our youth group to Winterfest 2023 to worship Jesus, and this cabin was perfect! I have no complaints at all! It was cozy and had plenty of room for all of us, the youth also loved the hot tub, and pool table! I would highly recommend!

Missing info.

Rooms are much smaller than I realized by pictures. Main bedroom by kitchen had no nightstand by the bed for medical device. No gas grill on deck as pictured. Charcoal grill out front so we had to go purchase charcoal. Lots of dishes and glasses but limited pots and pans. No place to store food items at all.

Lots of Room

There were 14 of us that stayed over for the Women Of Joy Conference. The location is good and there was lots of room. It was a nice place to stay. While the listing said, you can only park two cars there was plenty of parking for more cars than that. Our main issues was that there was a very strong sewage smell outside. The smell made it unpleasant for us to be able to enjoy the decks outside. The water drained so slow and We had a back up bathroom sink and the toilet also had trouble flushing.

Just Right

The property was listed exactly as described. Plenty of room for our family and friends. Very comfortable. Kids loved the full bunks in the downstairs playroom. The only downside was that the heat was sporadic. 1 degree difference meant that you either were cold or it was way too hot. Idk if it was a thermostat or hvac issue but it was not a big deal. We left it at what it was set at when we checked in and were fine. We also loved that the owners had left the Christmas decorations up. It gave it such a nice warm feeling that we loved. Would definitely stay here again and plan on it.

Great house near PF

House was great. Perfect size for our group. It's close to a lot of other cabins but with the privacy fences on the deck you barely notice them. Only issue we had (and the reason I gave 4 stars) was one night one of our guests slept on the floor and woke up with a LOT of bug bites. No one else was affected, just the person on the floor. Called the management company so hopefully they addressed the issue

Beautiful Setting

We had an amazing time during our stay. The view was amazing. The one day it rained we stayed in and played cards. The kids used the video game regularly. We had plenty of space and would come back. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is because the grill and the downstairs fireplace weren't working and we called and spoke to someone but no one ever showed up. Additionally, we discovered that one of the back burners on the stove was not working. Other than that we had a great time in this beautiful setting.

Dirty & old

Cobwebs all over, sewer outside leaks when toilets are flushed, roof leaked into living room when it stormed. Broken dishes, no coffee carafe so we couldn't make coffee and took them 2 days to bring one.

Nice, comfy

As soon as we got to the cabin we called to report the fireplace not working and a loose faucet in the shower. They never called us back....nor sent someone to check the items out. It seems they know about the items and don't care to do anything about it....they know the cabin will rent because renters don't know about the issues. We recorded/filmed everything when we arrived and when we left

Nice place

Little things are wrong. Bulbs are out. Coffee maker died. Rain dripped when it rained. No items you need at all. Be prepared to buy soap, toilet paper and any condiments for cooking. It’s a nice big Hotel room. Not a home where basic stuff is around. Hot tub worked and our room did too. The downstairs one did not. I emailed a question and 3 days later got a reply. Not good. Won’t be back to this unit or this company running it.

Great location and pool some maintenance issues

The location was great, we enjoyed the pool table and the community pool was a nice size and close by. We did have an issue with a few things not functioning well. The hot tub had to be serviced and then on Tuesday morning they started sawing and hammering on the side of the house to remove and replace some siding. We had 4 vehicles parked in front of the rental and they didn’t notify us at all that they would be working on the house. It was very loud inside and out and was only 15 feet away from the hot tub that we were using. When we asked them to stop they agreed, but seemed really odd and like poor timing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it really is close to Dolleywood, but seems like they could put a little closer attention to some maintenance and doing when it is not occupied

Awesome property

We had a fabulous vacation at Aspens Envy! The layout was ideal for two families with all the kids sharing the lower level. The location was outstanding, and the views awesome! We were very comfortable and there were plenty of plates, kitchen utensils and items, blankets, pillows, etc. The seating options were perfect for larger groups too! The hot tub had a heating issue and it was fixed promptly! The only small issues we had were the grill was difficult to cook on (uneven heat, etc), there was no garbage disposal, and the kitchen faucet leaked a bit. Overall, the stove and refrigerator could be better quality, but we made it work without a problem! For the future, it may be helpful to email renters a short list of household items that would be helpful to bring. We knew that we would get a jump start supply on items, but it would have been nice to have had a list of things that may be helpful to bring (paper towels, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, toilet paper, etc). These are just small, workable items. We would definitely rent Aspens Envy again!!!

Disappointed

The cabin was in a great location with easy access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We had a group of 11 ladies from my church who stayed at Aspen’s Envy. The description of beds and rooms were accurate. We did have several issues arise. We had a raccoon who had made a home under the hot tub. I informed the property manager know as soon as we arrived at the cabin. Someone was sent out the next evening, but they were unable to resolve the issue. We could not use the hot tub or go out on the deck the entire weekend. We had several outlets in the cabin that did not work. The door leading out to the bottom deck would not open, so we were unable to access that deck. These issues were not corrected by the time we left. The cabin could have been cleaner. Hopefully all of these issues will be addressed and corrected by the time the next group uses this cabin.

Underwhelmed

We had a great visit with family, but were a little underwhelmed with the cabin. The location was very close to main area in Pigeon Forge, so that was a plus. However there we a few issues that we encountered with the cabin. First, there was the fact that we could not use the hot tube, which was a big factor in our selection (I filtered the search for ONLY cabins with hot tubs). The reason we could not use the hot tub was because there was a raccoon living in it. I understand that is the nature of a cabin, having wildlife about. However, he/she was living in the bottom of the hot tube because the skirting on the bottom was missing a panel. The part that make it a little more frustrating is that upon arrival we actual spoke with someone who told us they knew about it. We we instructed to call the number on the fridge if we actually saw him. Well, we did... and were then told that it was too late and no one could come and to call back if we saw him again the next day. I am not 100% sure the person on the other end of line knows how nocturnal animals function... We saw him every single night for extended periods of time, which provided some entertainment, but also prevented up from using the hot tube and the balcony it was on (for fear of one of the kids letting it in the house or worse). There were some ants here and there, but nothing overwhelming. The fireplaces were turned off due to the season, but the kids wanted to do smores and because the grill was on the balcony with the raccoon, we could not use that. I ended up making them in the oven, which seems to go over just as well though. There were a million directions on how to do certain things in the house, HOWEVER I would like to suggest directions on how to make the showers work. For the bathrooms that have a tub/shower combo there is a very interesting faucet I have never encountered and directions on how to work THAT would have been a little more beneficial than how to press the power button on the TV remote. All in all in was good trip and we had a wonderful time with family. Would I ever rent that specific cabin again... I would say, probably not.

Never received an email with the door code, we had to call and get it. The house was nice, but the mattresses are old and loud. Pillows are flat. A big spider web in the upstairs bedroom, can’t miss it. Some Furniture was token, or had missing pieces. Furniture not dusted off.
