Absolutely beautiful. I came to the area for work and took my mum for a relaxing couple of days. The scenery is gorgeous, private, secure and comfortable. I couldn’t recommend it more. Truly beautiful accommodation, property and scenery.
The Quarters exceeded expectations. The area is absolutely lovely. If you're looking to have a peaceful and serene holiday I couldn't recommend this location anymore!

Gorgeous Cottage, full of history and beautifully restored. A little disappointed that we couldn’t light the open fire as it’s for looks only, although the heaters kept us nice and warm. Thoroughly enjoyed catching up with friends in this great location.

We enjoyed a wonderful 5-night stay at this beautiful property, just a 20-minute drive from Bathurst. The manicured gardens created a peaceful and calming atmosphere, a perfect escape from the excitement of the Bathurst 1000 week. The decor was lovely, adding a touch of history to our experience. Plus, the heaters kept us cozy every night. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind while still being close to the action!
Sublime, surreal, stunning and spectacular…., the attention to detail is exceptional… the decor is truly beautiful … the sense of peace and tranquility comes with an experience of perspective and gratitude that left us filled with renewed strength and joy. A truly extraordinary place and an unforgettable stay.

This property is amazing. We had all the necessities we needed. It was warm and cosy. Well priced. Very clean and well kept. Will definitely stay again a lot more in the future. And we loved the friendly dog
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the convict quarters! Beautiful location and the styling in the cottage is fantastic, all the mod cons, everything you could need. I loved the feel of the property, its comfy beds and visits from the farm fur babies, especially Joey the dog :) The location is convenient to Bathurst and cottage has great privacy.
The owners Bronwyn and Jamie were lovely and there if you need anything.....I will definitely be back!
Wifi kept ctashing. Owner fixed it as soon as we told her but it crashed again and we didn't want to bother her again but not a massive issue we were there to spend time with each other just would have been nice to talk to kids before bed.Everything else was perfect, we had the best 3 nights
My wife and I recently enjoyed a relaxed two-night stay at Clifton in Locksley, which is conveniently only a short drive from Bathurst.
The apartment itself – a convict quarters dating to the late 1820s – was absolutely beautiful and sympathetically married authentic heritage charm with modern amenities. There was a plaque at the front door acknowledging the recipients of a National Trust heritage award for the care taken in conserving and restoring the historic dwelling. You can see why: the original wood and brickwork were intact and small details, like a glass panel in the living room floor that showcased a collection of convict era relics, imbued the place with real character. The upper level, with its pitched roof, floor boards and exposed beams, was a particularly fantastic space.
A special shout out to Joey, the Jack Russel puppy that lived on the property. Both mornings, we woke up to see her waiting on the front doorstep for us. She was super friendly and playful and always had an adorable expression on her face.
Will definitely return, perhaps with friends, as our trip was over too soon and Clifton was so homely. Would recommend to anyone needing an escape from Sydney.
