I would love to stay longer next time. Surrounding of rural area and seeing some animals on the farm was great. My grandson loved it. He was very excited

Thanks for your nice comments hopefully we see you again one day
Great location but the house number was hard to read if arriving at night Inside was beautiful, clean and modern but the table and chairs outside were not clean so I couldn’t sit to put on my shoes Greeted by two very friendly dogsBeds comfortable and loads of room for storage
Beautifully presented accommodation…. outstanding cleanliness and warm, comfortable bed clothes!
A lasting memory of the time would be the unexpected evening firepit experience, ‘marshmallows on steroids’ an absolute winner with our granddaughter!
The property was nice and new. It was good to have some nice touches such as chocolates on the beds. Bread and milk in the fridge, tea and coffee making facilities
We got to cook marshmallows on the fire pit and the kids fed a 5 day old calf. Definitely recommend this place

Thanks Paul for your review it was a pleasure to meet you and your family and hopefully the kids enjoyed feeding the cow. Thanks for leaving the place nice and clean and hopefully we will see you again one day
Our family of 4 visited the area around Oberon to go fossicking and Hillcrest Farm Stay was a fabulous place to stay. The accommodation was very comfortable, warm and well equipped. The kids particularly enjoyed the fire pit in the cold weather!
The host, Neil, was very responsive in the lead up, and also hospitable and attentive during our stay.
We will definitely be back!

Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed your stay hopefully we will see you again in the future
Very beautiful property with a quiet, peaceful environment. All the basics we needed were provided, including food and firewood. Very clean. Perfect location, reasonable distance away from all activities.
I found the property exactly as advertised, and clean and well kept. Communication with the owner was great and he went above and beyond with personal touches to ensure our comfort. Very friendly and approachable, and the property was immaculate.
I’ll be highly recommending this listing to our friends and family.
Thanks Neil and family for looking after us!
Location was peaceful with beautiful country views. Minutes from Oberon town centre. It is a really comfortable and clean property. Owners are nice and helpful. Everything you need is provided.
My children loved feeding the animals. We enjoyed being in the farm, sitting next to the fire pit, looking at the stunning sunset, drinking beers and eat roasted marshmallows.
Highly recommended to anyone want to get away on holiday.
The apartment was great with everything you need. Al the furniture are of great quality and the beds were fantastic. There’s nice touches like little heart chocolates around the house which my boys loved. There’s also little basic things like jam, butter, cookies and it was nice to find a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge☺️
Communication with the owner was great and if you need to talk to Neil he will respond d to you straight away.
Would definitely stay there again!

Silvana thank you for your nice review where glad you enjoyed your stay did your son win his soccer
We were overcharged for our stay despite giving 3+ weeks notice (when 2 is required) to change our reservation and having the host agree to the change. Minimal communication in reply to my repeated messages. I would not trust booking a stay from Neil (his wife was lovely, however). He got a bit aggressive towards my refund request in the messages so I will leave it at that and finish with my review.
In regard to the guesthouse, is it nice and clean and the wood fire is amazing. It is right next to the main residence so you don't get a lot of privacy. The hosts are always around outside by the entrance to the accomodation but not very welcome to young kids. Interaction with the animals was minimal, not a true farm stay. Daughter felt too nervous to ask to feed chickens after a stern "no" that was then taken back. The photographed fire pit and silo bar are open for use with prior permission from host, they are not part of the guesthouse area.
Oberon is actually quite nice and the Farmer's Market in Tarana was very cool (once a month). I'd say if you are going to be out all the time and don't need any booking adjustments- this is your place!

Andrea I think your telling a few lies here I’m sorry you were not happy with the refund but the bad communication was from your end, your children were never told no to feeding the chickens as we came over and got the kids to feed the chickens. The sheep and alpaca were next to the room and they love attention so I’m sure they would come to the fence if people were present I think others also need to be aware that you booked for 4 people and arrived with an extra person and I didn’t ask for any additional payment I just let it slide so I think you are the aggressor not me
A very good place to stay close to Oberon but so much better than a motel stay. A full kitchen, bbq, 2 bedrooms and plenty of parking. Great valley view from the outside fireplace and dead quiet at night. A really nice spot!
Wonderful place to stay. Fully equipped spotlessly clean and well prepared.
Neil and his family were excellent hosts. The 5 year old loved exploring the property and visiting the animals. Highly recommended.
