We were delighted to host Nancy and her husband as they explored the Avalon. They were perfect guests and left the place spotless. So glad she enjoyed her birthday at Colinet Cottage!
Great place. The hosts were amazing and had a continental breakfast set up for us that was fantastic. Close proximity to the Irish loop and easily able to travel most of the Avalon. The beds are comfy and the cottage had everything you need.

Susan and her group were an absolute delight to host. We were so glad they chose Colinet Cottage for their first visit to the province. They were friendly, kind and went above and beyond to take care of the cottage. We would love to host them again someday.
Property was everything you could want it to be. Not many restaurants and stores in the area but we knew that before booking.

Nancy and her guest were a pleasure to host. She was quick to reply to messages and left the house in perfect condition. We would welcome her back anytime.
À beautiful home. Wonderful hosts. Kitchen had all we needed to cook our meals; appliances, cookware and a wide variety of dry ingredients. The hosts supplied a generous continental breakfast with some surprise delicacies. The site is fabulous, Charming spacious cottage and within an hour from St. John’s and central to visiting The Avalon Peninsula.
The Colinet Cottage was a welcome respite from days on the road where we had been keeping a packed schedule. We were able to catch our breath, prepare meals, and wash clothes, while enjoying the wonderful cottage. We were there for a full moon rising right across the river on a clear night. Awesome! Loved, loved the comfy bed and really appreciated how attentive our hosts were. We enjoyed the clothesline!

Sara was the perfect guest! She was a delight to communicate with, respected the property and house rules, and possibly left the place cleaner than she found it! We would definitely welcome her back at any time!
This is a great house - very modern, clean, and comfortable. It has a large, well-equipped kitchen, and a great sunroom looking out over the water. The location is also great. It's a very small, quiet town, but it is perfectly situated to easily visit both Cape St. Mary's, where we saw nesting northern gannets and many other birds and the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. We took a Gatherall's tour and saw many nesting birds, and also humpback whales - from 25 feet away. I got to meet the hosts, and they were very friendly. I thanked them for the scones and partridgeberry jam that were waiting for us when we arrived!
Very cosy, comfortable, well-maintained and nicely situated cottage steps from St. Mary's bay on a quiet street near the main road. Hosts were amazing and went over and above to provide a wonderful experience for 3 nights. Left some goodies for us and we found the kitchen/fridge/cupboards well stocked with incidentals and extras that made our stay even better. Comfortable beds, very clean and we didn't have any issues with the well water supply.
Perfect central spot after we drove the Avalon peninsula from St. John's and did day trips to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve and Baccalieu drive. 5 Stars for everything!

It was our absolute pleasure to host Dawn and her family! They were so respectful of the cottage and the house rules. They left it just like they found it, even with the beds made! We hope they enjoyed the rest of their visit to the province. We would be delighted to host them again some day.
We stayed at the Colinet Cottage during the 3rd week of June, 2024. We met our very pleasant hosts, Dana & Brian the next day. They are very accommodating and will do all they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage itself is extremely cozy and comfortable including the beds. It is very nicely appointed and has a well equipped kitchen and most other things one would require during a stay. A welcoming bottle of wine and jar of jam is simply a testament to how they aim to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We would both recommend staying at the Colinet Cottage which is in a perfect location to explore both the Avalon Peninsula, Cape St. Mary's, the Saint John's area and many other locations.
