From the outside you can easily tell that this aging property has seen better days. Unfinished is an euphemism here. As you cross the front door, you get the view of the newly renovated kitchen, but your nose gets blasted with Glade plug-in air fresheners. We wanted to open the windows to get some fresh air in, but only 3 windows in the whole property had screens to prevent the bugs from getting in and no air exchanger. The main bathroom has a constant urine scent barely covered by the artificial scent of the fresheners. As we looked up to the ceilings we understood why there were plug-in fresheners in every room. This property was previously owned by smokers. The caracteristic smeared yellow-brownish coating left by the cigarette smoke hadn't been cleaned, and a fresh coat of paint could help get rid of the odor but the hosts obviously prefered something to impress in the property's photos so they ended up putting all their money in the new kitchen cabinets and countertops instead. We then got to the basement bathroom. We could barely stand the moisture scent that was floating there. It reeked like old sewers. Would not go there with my family again.
