There is a small store at the Pass Lake turn off on the highway but most groceries home can be bought in Thunder Bay. We usually only rent weekdays in summer. We prefer rentals of at least 4 days. Currently most weekdays are still available. Before May and after Thanksgiving we may rent longer blocks if we have not already turned off the water. Otherwise we don’t rent between December and April inclusive. The shoulder season rate is goes up May and June and Sept to Nov ( see calendar). The rate is higher in July and August, and on weekend nights and statutory holidays. Check in is usually 5 pm Sunday and check out is usually at 10 am Friday. There may be the option of a late check out on Friday for the additional cost of $150 at which point you can stay to 6pm

This is a great place if you have a large group and want to stay together. It is close to the water and has many family friendly amenities. Check in times on the listing and in messages varied which caused some confusion, and the cottage definitely could have been cleaner. Overall we had a good time and it had everything our large group needed.
This was the perfect place to stay for our family get-together with three families and lots of grand-kids. The kids caught small-mouth bass in the lake and brook trout in a not-too-far-away trout stream. We enjoyed the property, of course, but also the nearby amethyst mines and hikes in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park and Ouimet Canyon. Our hosts were very generous with their hospitality. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasure meeting Jim and his wife and hearing about their travels. They were courteous, helpful and tidy guests and we would welcome them back anytime
The cottage is perfect, clean and very nicely decorated. The lake is amazing! The hosts were great, we accidentally left our child's teddy bear and the found out and sent it back to us!
Would book this cottage again 100%

We are so glad This family enjoyed their stay! They were a pleasure to deal with
The "6th bedroom" is a couple bunk beds in the main rec room in the basement not an actual bathroom. We were charged an extra cleaning fee due to the size of our group but when we arrived we found the property quite dirty. We had to wash dishes and kitchen utensils prior to use sure to grime and food remnants from prior use. Very dusty and dirty over all. Hydro was out twice during our weekend stay due to high winds (not the hosts fault) however there was no backup generator which could have made our stay more comfortable. Overall I'd say we enjoyed our stay but we were disappointed to be charged extra cleaning fee and ended up leaving the place cleaner than when we arrived.

I’m sorry that the power went out. To be clear, however the extra cleaning fee was placed simply because of the size of the group (20 people) which meant my husband had to spend all this time washing sheets before and after, limiting time for a deep clean. The site did not allow us to charge per person fee of $10 per person per night fee which in retrospect would have been better, but much more costly for you. It was a very inexpensive weekend for the number of people who stayed. We don’t usually allow weekend stays because we don’t have the time to come in and clean during the week to prepare it for a weekend visit as we both work full time. We have requested the site block off weekends and relented on this one as a favor, but will not be doing it again
