Thank you so much for the kind review! We're thrilled to hear that you had a lovely experience. It's always our goal to provide exceptional service and we're glad we were able to meet your expectations.
For those that are older this is not your house for staying. All bedrooms are upstairs and navigating the stairs is not easy for older or those with any disabilities.
Generally as expected, clean, and usable. Could not find the dishwasher detergent.Check in process could be improved by providing a more secure online way besides insecure email to show ID and card within the day before arrival (went to office to check in instead).

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you found the property clean and usable. We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the dishwasher detergent and will ensure it's available. We're working on enhancing our check-in process for better security. Thank you for your patience.
Really enjoyed this place. You can tell it has a lot of history for the family that owns it, and it was perfect for our group's weekend getaway.
Sometimes you have to compromise on location with staying in vacation homes, but Avalon is so small it's so easy to walk around. And we made use of the park just across the street so really it's the perfect spot for families with kids!
The management was also super easy to work with.
A group of friends and I (aged 20s-50s) stayed here for a long birthday weekend. Great location, 15 minute leisurely walk from the pier, close to town and grocery store. The rooftop deck has a great view of the city, hills, and water, made for a great breakfast and dinner spot. Definitely an older house, but charmingly maintained, and well stocked with all the kitchen necessities, along with plenty of movies, books, and games.
I had a hard time choosing between 4 & 5, so probably more like a 4.5. We enjoyed the house and had a wonderful stay. The house is 100yrs old and you can feel the love and history, which was very cool! I especially appreciated the original features of the house, including family photos and memorabilia. We had fun looking through the old journals and piecing together the families on the wall. The drawers and closets should have anything you may need like a wagon for toting groceries, lunch box, small appliances(yes coffee!), and extra blankets. Lots of games and books, my boys loved the poker chips! Not a big deal to many, but the living area is a bit dark; we would have moved a lamp if we could find one. We played games in there, and it was hard to see. We did have to purchase trash bags, paper towels, and toilet paper on day 2 of our 4 night stay. We bought a case of each, so hopefully it helped out the next group. There is a room with bunks that isn't featured in pictures and it was perfect for the "boys"! Its the last in the hall too so kept the noise away from the main bedrooms. Location was perfect!!! We walked everywhere and if we needed a circuit ride, it picked up right at the top of the street. We also made a quick potty stop when we rented a golf cart since it was right off the path. Vons, golf course, museum, etc is all within a 3- 5 min walk. Thank you for having us, and please thank the owners for sharing their home in such an authentic way!!
Great home in a great location. Close to all the hot spot but quiet and serene. I especially loved its proximity to the kids playground. Bathrooms were clean and beds were comfy. I can't wait to stay there again!

Property Needs remodel very Bad.
The property needs repair- The oven in Kitchen not working-Dishwasher is broken, Needs repair. Kitchen is very worn and when i arrived the dishes were dirty and needed cleaned buy hand. all the door knobs were falling off and i fixed a few-Glad i had tools- In the upstairs bathroom the door would not lock and stayed open. This home is dated and needs remodel The home in lower area of home it needs a paint job-expect a nice property. Just because the property is in Catalina and i just accept the property in its condition because it is a vacation location? Do not rent this property until they remodel it- it is a nice property just needs a refresh/remodel.
The location of the house was great. The sleeping arrangements were great; but, both bathrooms need some repairs. Upstairs bathroom sink faucet leaks and is very loose. The door knob fell off the door of the upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom faucet leaks really bad and has been leaking for some time. It leaks onto the floor and the bottom of the vanity has water damage due to the faucet leaking. The door knob on the door to the outside of the house, in this bathroom, fell off as well. The plaster repair on the wall going down the stairs is chipping off. Other than this, we love the house and loved our stay in Catalina.
One of two properties we rented for a family reunion. The beauty of this site is the location. Eucalyptus is a no traffic street. This provides a significant level of safety. The access to the new Vons is a real advantage as well. Had to make four trips there in one day. Closeness is crucial. Wonderful place for children.

Great place for Avalon and a big group
8 of us stayed here and there was plenty of room. There were certainly lines for the 2 bathrooms at key times but for a vacation house it all worked. We even cooked a big dinner for 12 in the kitchen and then ate in the dining room. The amenities are very much "beach rental" quality which means they are functional but not spectacular but there is plenty of common space downstairs and even some beach stuff like floaties and snorkel stuff on the side of the house. Overall, if I had a large group I would rent here again.

Great location
My wife and I were joined by our children and their families for a three day vacation. We rented golf carts and had an enjoyable visit to the Wrigley memorial and Dscanso Beach. Not the ritz, but a pleasant place to stay.

OK Stay
The home was cute, although very dated and much in need of some upgrades, particularly in the bathroom and kitchen. It also had plenty of room for our extended family, with plenty of books and games and a fully-stocked kitchen with respect to utensils and cookware. The sheets and towels were all clean. A new cleaning company is recommended. We had to wash everything in the kitchen that we used before using it to get the sticky film off. Also, the carpets had obviously not been cleaned in a very long time.

Relaxing Family Vacation
My family of four (2 adults, 2 young children), along with another family of four (2 adults, 2 young children) stayed at this charming house for four days during our school's spring break. The house was comfortable, spacious, and the perfect location. The house sits on a street that is blocked off from automobiles, so the kids were able to play soccer out on the street right in front of the house. We could easily walk to coffee shops, restaurants, miniature golf, Descanso Beach, the pier, grocery stores, the museum, etc—the house is located right in the middle of Avalon, but far enough from the main drag that you felt quietly tucked away.
