Sandpiper Cottage at Laguna Beach has everything you could dream of in a vacation rental home. Located at the quiet west end of Panama City Beach, this home is proof that location means everything. It is located 1 short block from the gorgeous emerald water and white sandy beaches of the gulf of Mexico. It is also just 3 miles from Pier Park & City Pier* (with unlimited shopping, dining, and entertainment options), 1 mile from the famous Thomas's Donuts, and 5 miles from Rosemary beach. You can experience everything 30A has to offer for a FRACTION of the cost of staying in Rosemary, Watercolor or Seaside. Plus, you can retreat to your quiet oasis after you have had your fill of the crowds. Sandpiper is a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with private pool. We even provide a 6 person GOLF CART at NO additional charge so you can zip down to the beach in seconds. Laguna Beach is golf cart friendly so you can take it down to Carousel Supermarket, or Thomas's. We provide beach towels, 6 beach chairs, a sun umbrella, and sand toys for the kids (or just those young at heart). Add FREE wifi internet, flat screen TV's in the living room & bedrooms and ample outdoor living space, and you have the perfect vacation experience. The west end of Panama City Beach is known for being quiet and less crowded while still being close to it all. Come see why this are brings people back year after year.


During the periods of March-May and Oct-Dec, you can choose to have the pool heater turned on and set to 85 degrees for a fee of $15/day. The heat pump will keep the pool at this temp during the day as long as average day and night air temps remain at 65 degrees or above. If the average day+night temp is below 65 we will not be able to run the heater.

Exceptional location for a week at the beach!

This house is exceptional in its location and amenities! The golf cart made it a less than 2 minute trip to the beach. The beach was not crowded and allowed us some quieter mornings by the ocean. The pool was a perfect size, well maintained, and a welcome respite in the afternoon. The main living area was comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy breakfasts and evenings we stayed in. Would stay here again and definitely recommend our hosts who were quick to respond and helpful throughout the stay!

Great getaway

We were thrilled with our stay- the property suited our needs perfectly! We used the golf cart to get to the beach and then also enjoyed the private pool. So close to everything we wanted to do and places to eat and yet not crazy commercialized and wild. We hope to come again!

My husband and I just returned from a relaxing week at this beach house. Highly recommend!! Everything you could need to make your stay easy was provided. Golf cart was great to get to/from the beach and also Thomas Donuts! Pool was larger than expected and very clean. Great location on quiet west end. Will definitely be back!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Laguna Beach is a lovely little town with beautiful clean beaches! Far enough away from the big city but close enough to go for a lovely night out. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper Cottage! Having the golf cart to get back and forth to the beach was awesome! Having our own private pool was just the icing on the cake! The house literally had everything we needed. It was so nice to have beach chairs and accessories readily available to use. We will definitely be back!!

Everything is great!

This is our third time to stay at Erica’s property as it is perfect for our group. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. The pool and backyard are perfect and provided many afternoons of fun for all. The golf cart was perfect for loading up our group and the included beach chairs for a trip to the beach. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. Erica is easy to reach and fast to respond for any questions we had.

Fall Break Getaway

We had so much fun staying at Sandpiper cottage! Couldn't have asked for a better house to stay in and Erica was such a wonderful host. She responded quickly and helped in any way she could. The house was clean and had everything we needed for the week. The golf cart made life so much easier especially with 3 kids making beach trips back and forth. Plus the night rides were awesome! The pool was by far the best we've had while staying in different houses. The kids loved changing the light colors and the heated pool was a must. The kids enjoyed everything about this place and our weather couldn't have been more perfect. Can't wait to come back and stay here again for many more memories.

Perfect Fall Break

This was our first time staying at Panama City Beach, and this home did not disappoint. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids ages 1-12. The location was perfect. It was just a quick walk to the beach and away from high rises so the beach was never crowded. The 6 seater golf cart was a huge perk. We used it every day. The heated pool was a game changer. The temps dipped down during our stay and having the heated pool kept the kids entertained for hours. We especially liked the splash pad area on the shallow end for our toddler. It allowed her to play in the pool without having to be held the whole time. The kids also enjoyed the Wii console and games. We can't say enough good things about our host. She was so responsive when we had questions or needed something. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the future!

Wonderful Beach Vacation!!

The home is exactly as described. I feel the owners truly have tried to go above and beyond to help you have an amazing beach vacation. I would definitely stay at this home again over and over. Quality everything!! The pool is by far the best pool I have ever had at rental beach home. The location is in a great quaint and quiet neighborhood. I felt very safe and comfortable enough to go for several daily walks by myself. The golf cart was a great extra to help get all the “stuff” to and from the beach but it’s such a short walk that I walked there several times. Loved it and was not disappointed. The owner was very easy to communicate with and got back to me very promptly when I needed her. You will LOVE this house, pool and location..

The home was perfect! This was the first trip to the beach for my 2 1/2 yr old grandson and it was absolutely perfect. The home was as described and accommodated my husband, myself, our daughter, son-in-law and grandson. The home was plenty roomy enough. It was so much nicer than being in a condo which is what we typically rent when it is just me & my husband. The golf cart, the pool, the beach chairs and all of the beach toys were such an added bonus. The area of the beach was nice too.All around it was a great trip. We hope to make this a yearly family vacation and will most definitely book this home again!

Hi we are Erica and John, the owners of Sandpiper Cottage at Laguna Beach. We are 2 college biology professors and parents of 5 children. In addition to having 3 biological children, we have grown our family through foster care. We love spending time together at the beach, hiking, swimming, biking, and anything else that puts us out in nature.

Why they chose this property

We were searching for a house big enough for our family that we could stay in a few times per year (during our breaks from teaching). Once per year visits to the beach was just not enough! We fell in love with Laguna Beach because the neighborhood feels so quiet and private and yet it is just minutes from anything you could ever want to do. There aren't any high-rise condos or hotels in this area, so the beach is much less crowded than other areas in Panama City Beach. Much of the beachfront in Laguna Beach is undeveloped and zoned to stay that way to protect the beautiful natural dunes. Being biology professors conservation is important to us and having an area where we can see natural coastal species of birds and plants just steps from our door has been amazing. We love Pier Park for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Heading west on 30A is a whole world of experiences waiting for us. We can enjoy the French architecture in Rosemary Beach with dinner at La Cocina or Pizza by the Sea and then walk down by the Pearl Hotel to see the breathtaking views. Or we can take in the beauty of Alys Beach architecture modeled after that found in the Bahamas on our way to Seaside. Seaside is fun, laid back kind of beach town. It is an amazing place to rent a bike and explore. The beach access is open to the public and there are limitless dining opportunities awaiting us from the Taco Bar, to Barefoot BBQ, or the "best burger on 30A" at Pickles. Being gluten free and vegan Raw and Juicy and Taco Bar are my favorites! We can head to Topsail for hiking and more natural dunes and public beach access or to Saint Andrew's for the protected jetty. From St. Andrew's we can take a ferry to Shell Island, which is a 7-mile long island of protected natural beach for shelling, snorkeling, and just plain relaxing. For us, we are always counting down the days until our next trip because there is so much we cannot wait to do.
