Fredericksburg is widely regarded as one of the top ten winery destinations in the world, and there is no better vantage point for exploring all of them than while staying at the completely private cottages of Der Fels!

The Alexander is a luxury suite in the heart of wine country and is close to the famous Wildseed Farms, and wineries such as Messina Hof, Mendelbaum, and Grape Creek. It’s even close to Luckenbach!

Being a newly constructed limestone cottage with all the comforts of home, this charming suite offers everything today's traveler wants, in a private setting. Enjoy the private hot tub to yourselves in a fully fenced courtyard. Or, step back inside to enjoy the large whirlpool tub or rain-head shower in the bath! Additionally, the Alexander Suite is outfitted with a king-size bed dressed in beautiful linens, and a spacious sitting area to set the mood! Make the Alexander your own private outpost in the Hill Country, and we’ll see y’all again soon!

Short of being a "luxury suite"

TV not working. Contacted Property Manager, and after a lengthy discussion they would text me when a maintenance worker would be sent. No contact the remainder of the day. I purchased replacement batteries and solved the issue. Text came at 7 am on a Saturday morning... Pictures are not an accurate reflection of the property, and neither is the location description. Bathroom sink does not have hot water. Overall, a very disappointing property.
