About this property
Spacious 4 Bed Home on Vineyard In Barossa Valley
Summary:
Maisonnets invites you to stay at this charming 4-bedroom home situated on a 13-hectare vineyard. Featuring reverse-cycle air-conditioning and both indoor and outdoor lounge areas, it’s a perfect place to unwind. The lovely garden boasts peach and lemon trees, which you can pick from in season. Only a 3-minute drive to eateries and a supermarket, with more options in nearby Tanunda, you’ll find Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop just 2 minutes away, offering a café, restaurant, and cooking classes. Coullthard Reserve with family-friendly picnic areas is also close by, and the region is renowned for its endless wineries.
The Space:
Arriving at the house, you’ll first see a covered patio with an outdoor table for 6 people in a relaxed country setting. You’ll then enter the house where to the left you’ll find a spacious lounge room with modern wood-look flooring, 2 x 2 seater sofas, a couple of occasional chairs, a Smart TV, an electric fireplace and a rug for winter comfort. A separate nook with bench seating is perfect for conversation or games. Ducted reverse-cycle aircon ensures year round comfort. You’ll then move through to a large L-shaped kitchen/dining room with the same wood-look flooring and ducted aircon. The kitchen comes with lots of bench space for food prep, a breakfast bar with 2 stools, a 4-burner ceramic cooktop, under-bench oven, microwave, and a medium-sized fridge/freezer. Stylish pendant lighting hangs above a dining table that seats 8 people.
The house’s 4 bedrooms are all carpeted and offer queen sized beds, ducted reverse-cycle aircon and block-out curtains. A large bathroom features stylish floor-to ceiling tiles, a roomy shower recess with a frameless glass screen, and a separate ‘floating’ bathtub. There’s a self-contained toilet next to the bathroom, as well as another powder room closer to the kitchen/dining area with a toilet and handbasin. The house also has a dedicated laundry room with a washing machine and a separate dryer.
Outside the house there’s a magical garden space with seating amongst rose bushes and statues. Guests are welcome to pick ripe fruit from the peach trees and lemon trees when in season. Please note that the house is situated within a working vineyard and so you may occasionally hear the ambient noise of the farming machinery. The vineyard does not come with a cellar door, but there are countless wineries in the area for your enjoyment.
The Neighborhood:
Located an hour’s drive from Adelaide, Nuriootpa is in the heart of the Barossa, famous for its world class wines and also home to some of the best culinary experiences in the region. It’s just a few minutes’ drive from the house to the town centre, where you can start your day with a coffee at the Fleur Social café before taking a stroll down the historic main street and exploring boutique shops. There’s a local Foodworks supermarket there too, or its less than 10 minutes’ drive to the Barossa Farmer’s Market in Angaston, open every Saturday morning. Indulge your sweet tooth at Linke's Bakery in Nuriootpa, or taste craft spirits infused with local botanicals at the Barossa Distilling Company’s rustic tasting room and bar. It’s also only a couple of minutes’ drive from the house to Maggie Beer’s Farm shop, where you can dine at The Eatery, purchase wines or take part in a cooking class. Coullthard Reserve is 5 minutes away by car, providing family friendly picnic areas, BBQ facilities, a children's playground and walking trails, with toilet facilities available. For more eateries and shops to choose from, the bigger township of Tanunda is 9 minutes away by car.
