The house was fairly dirty in areas .. under furniture and in corners. the lift bed sheet had marks in main sheet like linen not changed. The hot water was very difficult to adjust in the shower... so we couldn’t get temp right and hav a proper wash .The coffee machine leaked so we didn’t use it. there was no room near fire to sit ... as the lounge room fire place wasn’t able to be used . The cottage is on main rd and it didn’t feel private . There was loud music playing til after 12 mn on sat night .
Thanks for your comments. We are confused with your comments about the "lift bed" We have two beds, one in the loft and one downstairs and so not sure what is a lift bed is? All linen is changed after each booking so again confused about what bed you are talking about. We shower whenever we stay in our cottage and have never problem with adjusting the water levels in the 25 years we have owned the property Not sure why you had problems with it. The coffee machine is new and again we use it regularly and it doesn't leak for us. I suspect the instructions weren't followed. The cottage is located on the road between towns and has very little traffic. Not sure what we can do about that. Not sure how we go about 'making it feel private' I apologise about the loud music but not sure where it came from nor again what I could do about it. I am sorry you were disappointed but find it is interesting that this is the first time we have had such issues with the 60 guests who have stayed in our property during our time on Air BnB and HomeAway. Kind Regards John and Jan Shepherd
Winter Barossa Escape
From the outset the communication with the owners was perfect, John and Jan gave us ideas for activities and had literally thought of everything - it was a cold weekend but the house had ample firewood, reverse cycle heating and electric blankets, there is no way we could be cold. There is a pod coffee machine, a BBQ, a well appointed bathroom and the cottage is private, cosy and in an area that is a short drive to most of the local attractions. An easy drive to Angaston, Nuri and Tanunda, there are wineries, gourmet cafes and the egg and bacon rolls and coffee at the Angaston Market are worth the trip alone! Small places selling local produce makes it easy to cook your own meals or drive to one of the local towns for cafes and restaurants.
Would stay again, had a great weekend!
Thanks for your feedback. Kind Regards John and Jan Shepherd
Moculta is a quiet little town about 12 kms from Angaston. It is a very historic town and had the largest blacksmiths shop in the Barossa in the 1890's
