About the home
“Hazelwood” is an incredible multi-level home in Central Cowes just a few metres from the beach and short walk to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The downstairs Living Room (with smart TV) has a delightful outlook over the front garden and provides access to the Laundry (with washing machine and clothes dryer) which in turn has access to the enclosed rear courtyard. The single Garage is not currently available for guest use. Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR) are on this level, as well as the Bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate toilet.
Upstairs is the fantastic open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with smart TV) that has delightful water views and steps out to the wrap-around 1st floor balcony. Bedroom 1 is also on this level, with smart TV, WIR and an ensuite (shower & double vanity) leading through to a dual-access toilet which doubles as a powder room for this floor.
Up another set of stairs is the landing (with a 2nd fridge just inside the door) leading to the rooftop Terrace.
Outdoor Areas
The rooftop Terrace (with Bar with 6 stools, day bed, lounge setting, 2 chairs & coffee table) is an incredible place to relax and entertain, with breath-taking unobstructed 180 degree water views. The 1st floor balcony wraps around the home and features a gas BBQ, 6 seater table/chairs & outdoor setting with couch & 2 chairs & coffee table. The enclosed front garden is a rarity in such a central location and perfect for children. The Single Garage is not currently available, but there is room for 1 vehicle (car or boat) in the driveway, plus plenty of street parking.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso compatible pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, (and a 2nd fridge on the internal terrace landing), dishwasher, electric oven and 5-burner gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the downstairs Living Room and another in the upstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, accommodating up to 7 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Tri-bunk bed
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
