Gipps Cottage is so cosy and comfortable and the perfect location to walk to the town centre and to Griffiths Island to see the lighthouse. It is beautifully decorated with every convenience needed for a short stay. There is also a beautiful garden you can enjoy! I will definitely stay there again and will be recommending it to family and friends!

Rob and I love our seaside town and enjoy welcoming guests to bask in all that is on offer. From historic walks through the streets of Port Fairy to wandering down the river to cafes and restaurants or strolls on the beaches we are sure you will come to love our town as well.

Why they chose this property

It was the magnificent environment that first enticed Rob and I to retire to Port Fairy but now the vibrant community and regular events hosted here have ensured that Port Fairy is our home.

What makes this property unique

Our restored stone and timber cottage now with modern amenities dates back to the early 1850s and offers a very authentic experience of the historic town of Port Fairy. The history of the cottage is outlined in the visitor's book along with photos and timelines.
