A great spot to stay, both the town and the property, made all the more enjoyable by the helpful advice from Leanne about local businesses to frequent (loved the bookshop!) and the ease of access. A fully equipped kitchen made meal time a breeze and very impressed with the cleanliness both inside and out.
We had the most fabulous family holiday in Port Fairy at Pips. Our children, aged one and four, loved the beautiful spacious garden. The house was very comfortable and contained all the amenities that we needed for our week long stay. Leanne, the host, was very accommodating and great to communicate with. We'll definitely be back!

Thanks for your kind words Elise! We also love the yard and can remember what it is like to let the kids run freely while you can relax. We would love to see you again, contact me anytime!
Loved the cottage, it was cosy and suited us perfectly. Very close to the shopping precinct, eateries and heritage places.
All details taking care of, by our host.
We hope to stay again in the future.
It's a very neat house with details full of love. A good accommodation away from stress but feeling like home. It's close to the town centre - very convenient if you don't want to cook.

Thank you Cath, happy that you enjoyed your stay! ?
Lovely heritage style cottage with unique touches to make the stay feel special. The open backyard was excellent relaxing in and the kitchen was well stocked. The house does heat up on hot days but that is to be expected with an older heritage style property. We would recommend this house to stay in while in Port Fairy.

Thank you for staying with us and yes on a warm day (which Port Fairy doesn't have too many of) the weatherboard section can get warm, but the front bluestone part of the cottage keeps quite cool and comfortable. We're glad that you enjoyed your stay and we see you again soon!
Gorgeous cottage full of character and very comfortable and cosy.
Great location for cafes and restaurants.
Port Fairy is a pretty friendly town...locals are most welcoming
We enjoyed the cosy cottage, walking distance to shops, close to surf beaches and walks. Great time with family. Bath was great. Need to buy or bring own wood for fire. Excellent tour of eel traps at budj bim national park, recommend the 2 hour tour.
What a gem.
This old home has everything you need for a stay. Comfortable beds, beautiful Kitchen, manicured back garden and luxurious bathroom. Thank you Leanne for making it a memorable stay. James and Stella

Superb location
Modern, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, vintage styling to match home. Great outdoor space.
Whole interior needs a thorough clean, floor didn’t look like it had been mopped, door mat still dirty, underneath beds dirty with dust and grime. Couch and cushions had food stains.
Very clean and spacious cottage, wonderful shower! No air con but there were fans. Had to be careful with some low doorways but not a major issue. Lovely big back garden. A bit far from the main street for us to walk but others may disagree.

Sublime
Leanne (our host ) has thought of everything. The beds were so comfortable, the linens were top rate and the house was spotless. The shower was top rate and the dvds our kids really appreciated. Communication was excellent. The only thing I would change would be the oven as it was slow to heat but believe Leanne is working on that.I love to cook...
Port Fairy was a lovely break and we walked everywhere which was relaxing in itself..
Leanne has "nailed It" and thoroughly understands what people are looking for in getaway.
Highly recommend this host and this unique cottage

Thank you so much Lou! I try to offer the best experience I can and I am glad that you all enjoyed it. Yes, an oven will be part of this years projects I'm sure and we hope that you can come back and visit us soon!
We loved our stay at Pips. The cottage was clean and bright, and the perfect balance between historical character and modern luxury. The location was perfect for a short stroll to Port Fairy Coffee Roasters (possibly the best coffee I've ever tasted!) and the shops. Our boys loved the bunny themed bedroom and the grassy back yard. Thanks Leanne, we will be back!

This Stunningly beautiful Historic Cottage was the perfect place to stay for our first Folkie, literally a 5 minute walk to anywhere . Thanks Heaps Leanne for all the useful tips re the best places for coffee or food etc etc. Very much appreciated .We all loved it so much we have booked Pip’s again for next year …. Cheers Megan & Murray
This is our third summer stay at Pips on Bank. We love the character of the cottage, along with it’s beautiful yard. We spend so much time outside when we stay. The cottage is decked out with everything you need which makes for a very relaxing stay. We pretty much ditch the car when we stay at Pip’s as it’s in walking and riding distance to everything Port Fairy has to offer. We enjoyed an extended two week stay here and loved utilising the bikes, sand castle equipment, fishing rods, and boogie boards which are provided in the little garden shed. We look forward to booking again. Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Leanne
Hi, I am Leanne and am a partner, a mother, an artist and always busy! I own another property in central Bendigo and along with my partner, we also run Oxart Pottery in Taradale (close to Bendigo) I spend my time talking, creating, gardening, planning and designing and sometimes the obligatory book working! I obviously have a passion for creating and design and this is obvious in all aspects of my life and the thing that I love to share with my guests in the decoration and ambience of my properties. I am fortunate to have great health and in a position to enjoy what the world puts forth, so hope that my guests get the same experience and joy from their visits.
Why they chose this property
This property epitomizes Port Fairy and is an age old memory for me of my childhood holidays every year! From birth I have holidayed in and even lived in Port Fairy and it has become the place on earth I feel the most revived and relaxed. The cottage itself exudes personality and is steeped in history but has allowed us to decorate with a little quirkiness and our love of art. It is considered our family holiday home and so we love that others can share the place that we love to come to!
What makes this property unique
Pips is so close to town and you can wander down in the morning to buy a fresh baked loaf for breakfast, or just enjoy someone else cooking for you. Nothing is too far to walk to, including the beaches and the Moyne river. The bikes that are available for the guests use can also get you around easily and rest assured, Port Fairy has no hills! The Bluestone walls will keep you cool in the summer and retain the warmth in winter and just make for an all round cosy stay!
