Enjoy this spacious houseboat by leaving it at the dock and treating it as your cottage and play on the nearly half-acre property. Have a campfire. Play frisbee. Try the kayak and paddle-board. Swim at the public beach directly across the river. Take a short drive to any number of beautiful small towns nearby, like historic Merrickville or Manotick or Kemptville. It's only 30 minutes to downtown Ottawa and the Parliament buildings, too.
OR, take the houseboat for a cruise if you have a Pleasure Craft Operator's Card, which is easy to obtain if you don't have one already. (Extra charges apply for a cruising stay). There is no better way to see the region than from this UNESCO World Heritage waterway! See the historic Rideau Canal, and go through the still-hand-operated locks like it was 1850! There is no end to the possibilities!
