We enjoyed our stay in Narnia. The house is nicer in practice than it looks in the photo and was cool in a hot-weather spell - very good air-conditioning (almost too powerful). It is an older property but well furnished with a lovely kitchen, three dining tables to spread out on and lots of space. Our main gripe was the musty smell of damp mould in the main (king) bedroom which seemed to come from the built-in wardrobes or maybe the ensuite plumbing. Also while there was ample storage in the ensuite the cupboards were not clean inside so not great to put your stuff into, plus one shelf was missing a support so it fell down when I put things on it. I also had trouble getting my king-sized fitted sheet onto the king-sized bed as the bed was bigger than the sheet - not sure why. Despite these things we would consider staying here again.Hardwicke Bay is a quiet location without even a shop, which was fine for us as other towns are nearby. We enjoyed the Saturday burgers and ate one night at the Pt Turton Tavern. We were there to do Walk the Yorke in that region and had a pleasant time. There is no real swimming beach as the water is very shallow and there are a lot of rocky sections.
