Please keep AC at 21C or higher on cool mode. Use overhead fans. Switch off AC and fans when leaving studio. Off AC when doors and windows are open.

The Point Village is a bit dated and can be rather noisy depending on where your location was. The unit was not as advertised with no roof over our balcony which made it difficult to enjoy anytime after 1:00pm. Our neighbours across the hall were very rude and noisy!!! The biggest positive was the private beach which was spectacular!As far as location we would have preferred to be closer to downtown. The fact you had to either rent a car or grab the various types of taxis was a disappointment. I would have to give the experience staying at The Point Village a 6 out of 10

Thanks you for taking the time to share your feedback. I truly appreciate hearing about your experience. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the two private beaches- it’s definitely one of the highlights of the property and something many guests love. I am sorry that certain aspects of your stay did not meet expectations. The Point Village may have a more relaxed, secluded feel, and I understand that it may not suit every traveler. Many guests prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of Negril’s main beach. I would like to clarify that during your extended 5 week stay, I did offer a refund should you prefer to relocate when the AC was giving problems. Luckily within 48 hours, I had replaced the AC unit. Regarding the balcony roof, as mentioned Hurricane Melissa had torn the small roof off and it’s in the process of being replaced. Thank you again for your feedback- it helps me continue to improve. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

The location is excellent with a few minutes walking access to the nude beach right beside Hedonism 2. The buildings and surrounds are a bit dated and the reception office was in need of extensive renovation. My rented unit was good with a king size bed but on the 3rd floor so if you have bad knees,,,beware! The reception staff were very helpful and the manned gatehouse checking residents in and out was a plus.

I’m originally from Canada and worked as a medical doctor in Negril for 17 yrs. During this time, I lived at Point Village Because of its location and safety.
I love swimming and snorkelling in the ocean at Point. I also love paddle boarding to Boobay Cay an Island about 1/4 mile from shore and sometimes flying my two string kit on the extended sand bar jutting from the island.
I am always interested where my guests come from and try to make them as comfortable as possible.
