Welcome to The Aerie (Eagles Nest), a luxurious condo surrounded by Rocky Mountain views, in the heart of picturesque Fernie, BC. A stylishly decorated, open concept space designed with 2 couples in mind; enjoy each other’s company recreating in the mountains, at the nearby restaurants, or while having a beverage cozying up in the living room or with fresh air on the patio. Located just minutes away from all the mountain adventures you have been dreaming of.

The space
A modern, clean, bright space thoughtfully equipped with everything you need in a home away from home. 1200 sq feet including a Queen bedroom with a full ensuite- enjoy the expansive shower underneath the 13-foot sloped ceiling, while breathing in fresh mountain air through the private window. A second Queen bedroom, another full bathroom, the option to eat around the dining room table or large kitchen island, and a laundry room with a washer/dryer for all your adventure clothing.

Guest access
The height of our building makes it stand out. You will walk up a small set of stairs past a commercial office, to a full set of exterior stairs that will lead to your unit. Once inside, you will walk up an interior set of stairs where you will be taken aback by the views.

Other things to note
The building has 3 units. We live in the unit underneath where you will be staying. Please store your skis/snowboards/bikes with your vehicle. There is a shoe rack in the warm mechanical room as a space to dry out your boots, mittens, gloves, etc.

Check in was simple and communication with the host was great!Blackout blinds were great in the bedrooms. I didn't mind that the location was off the main road there. But my toddler and I sleep with a sound machine, so we were unphased. Main strip in town is a quick walk away. I would stay here again!

Location on highway is problematic however some blackout blinds would go a long way towards providing comfort. Everything else was for me and as expected.

Fernie Gravel Grind Weekend

We really liked the location of this VRBO as we could ride our bikes everywhere from it. Things we were not so keen on were as follows: the fact that there was no where to safely store our bikes during our stay; the beds were not very comfortable and the blinds in the bedrooms did not keep out the light (morning or street light at night), so it was not easy to sleep in a very very bright room in an uncomfortable bed. The place itself was very comfortable for the three of us in that there was plenty of room. It was also nice to have two bathrooms/two showers.

Hi Michelle, Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear you overall enjoyed the space and location! Although we prefer light filtering blinds, we have had a few people mention that they prefer blackout blinds so those are on order and we will replace them. The beds really do come down to personal preference. The bed in the primary bedroom is a Tempur-pedic mattress and the 2nd bedroom has an Endy mattress- both reputable brands. Lastly, we do state right in the property description to store bikes/skis etc. with your vehicle. When you sent me a message before checking in, we provided you with a few outdoor storage options where you could lock your bikes up. We hope you had easy travels home. Thank you for staying at, The Aerie!
