Summary
Wake up to lake and mountain views from every room — then step outside, turn left, and catch the bus to town and ski-field in 60 seconds. Red Peaks is a warm, spacious, light-filled home at the town end of Fernhill, 6 minutes from Queenstown’s town centre and walking distance to great local cafes, fish and chips, and the Wynyard Bike Park. Ideal for families, friend groups, and anyone who wants a proper home base rather than a cramped apartment.
Interaction
Red Peaks is managed by The Butler, a local Queenstown team with over 11 years of hosting experience and more than 1,800 five-star reviews across their properties. We’re available by phone throughout your stay and typically respond within the hour. If you need restaurant recommendations, activity bookings, or local advice, we’re genuinely happy to help — that’s what we’re here for.
Neighborhood
Fernhill is one of Queenstown’s most convenient residential neighbourhoods — close enough to walk or bus into town, quiet enough for a restful sleep. Red Peaks sits at the town end of Fernhill, which means the best of both worlds: a residential street with mountain views, and everything you need on your doorstep.
150 metres west: Fernhill Dairy, the famously good Chur Fish & Chip Shop, Lokal Kitchen & Bar, and Nest Kitchen + Bar. On a tired ski day, dinner is a two-minute walk.
50 metres east: the bus stop, with services to Queenstown CBD and the ski fields every 15 minutes.
250 metres further: Fernhill Reserve, with a children’s playground, picnic area, and trailhead access to the Fernhill walking tracks and the internationally recognised Wynyard Bike Park.
Access
Red Peaks is entirely yours. You have full private access to the house, both outdoor spaces (deck and garden), the lockable storage shed, and both parking spaces. The Butler team is available by phone throughout your stay and will respond within the hour.
The Space
The house
Red Peaks is a warm, generous home designed for groups who want to spend quality time together. The open-plan living and dining area are genuinely enjoyable spaces to relax together in. Panoramic windows frame Lake Wakatipu and the mountains — the kind of view you keep stopping to look at while you’re doing other things.
The newly built deck extends the living space outside, with a full BBQ setup, dining table, and casual seating — all facing the view. Below, the landscaped garden gives kids room to run and guests space to spread out.
Kitchen & living
The kitchen is properly equipped for a group: full appliances, four bar stools at the island, both a Nespresso machine and a filter coffee maker, and a laundry room next door with access to the storage shed. The living room has a cosy reading nook under the stairs with a sheepskin beanbag.
