Fun in the sun
The house was nice and we had a great trip. It’s a little odd when you pull in the driveway, you have to drive past the first house and farmyard, just keep going and bingo your there.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, location
We booked this for 2 nights but only stayed 1. It was obvious to us that the house had not been cleaned before our arrival. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived (we ran it). There was evidence of mice or something like that, in the kitchen and living room. One of the bedrooms had dirty sheets and someone had left their baseball cap on top of the lamp. There were dead flies/bugs and dust in most of the rooms. No plug in the bath tub and the hot water was an issue with 3 people trying to shower. We had to wait over a 1/2 hour in between so we could have a warm shower. We took a loss on this stay and were disappointed. I did message the host and he was responsive but didn't really offer to fix the issues, other than tell me where I could find lightbulbs if the exterior light was burned out. The host did leave donuts for us, but despite that being a nice gesture, we did not eat them. I would be cautious if you plan to stay here and be sure to message the host prior to ensure the home has been fully cleaned.

Great place
Nicely maintained home in WI farm country. House has a nice view as it is kind of up on a hill. Arrival tip: If coming from I-90 south on 162, I would recommend taking it down to 33 and then hanging a left on County Road JB (at St. Peter’s Church). The beds and pillows were comfortable. The house came with enough coffee for a pot of normal coffee and also they had a Keurig coffee maker with pods. Had a few welcome snacks, which was thoughtful. We did have three guests and we all took showers within short succession. The third showerer ran out of hot water, so keep that in mind if you have several people; it might be best to stagger your showering. None of us took a long shower: maybe 15 minutes or so each. The bathroom came stocked with soaps and soft towels. You will want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner with you, as these are not provided (we didn’t expect them to be but as some rentals have these, thought it was worth a mention). The furniture in the common area was very comfortable and in good repair. We needed to contact the host twice during our stay and he was available, responsive, and helpful on both occasions. The dining room area has a clock that has a pretty loud pendulum. You can hear it in the bedrooms. The first night I left the door open to the bedroom, but the second night I closed it. It could only faintly be heard with the door closed. The house is about a 20 minute drive from the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which is amazingly beautiful and peaceful. Worth a stop!I had happy to be able to book this on Evolve as I try to avoid the big name house rental company. That was the main reason we booked this rental (that it was available direct through Evolve).I would happily stay again. My only real criticism is the clock :-) Otherwise, it is a very quiet place to stay… no traffic noise. Very beautiful part of rural Wisconsin.
