Growing up in Toronto I would get the rare opportunity to visit a friends cottage and when I did I instantly fell in love with the whole "Cottage Life" vibe. Now being a cottage owner I want to share that experience with others to truly embrace the beauty of nature, being able to get away from the city to unwind and to be in the company of good family and friends.

Why they chose this property

Being close to a historic town like Huntsville which has the all the stores you'll need to shop, great places to dine, enjoy nightlife, fantastic golf courses and much more, there's always plenty to see and do nearby. 30 mins to Algonquin Park West gate makes day tripping a breeze.

What makes this property unique

One of the last few original cottages on the lake, built in 1914 and gracefully kept that old cottage charm but with all updated electrical, plumbing and new kitchen. This classic cottage has that rustic Muskoka cottage feel without the worries. The wrap around veranda/covered porch has some of the best views on the lake, dining out there is must see. The retractable screens turns the front veranda into a screened in Muskoka room which keeps the bugs out making it very enjoyable in the evenings. A classic boat house with a slip that can accommodate up to a 23' boat (pontoon boats are too wide to fit). Being on the "Springsyde" part of the lake, the south eastern shore line of the lake has kept the "path" going. Originally this "path" was how early cottagers would traverse from the Sprinsyde dock where the steamships would drop them off, to their cottages along the shore line. This path is still in use today and now simply used for cottagers to go for a casual walk along the shore line and back, or visiting friends who also live and cottage along the path.
