Great location with lots of amenities. The sauna was a huge hit with our group along with the lounge net above the kitchen.Would definitely stay here again!
The property was clean inside, however outside left a lot to be desired, lots of weeds and uneven ground upon opening the propane bbq, we quickly chsnged our minds.. it was filthy . Also, lying in bed in the basement area my son saw light coming from around a picture on the wall, upon investigation, a 6inch round hole was found, which opened into the mechanical room, which was accessed from outside. Weird to say the least . There is also no proper stove, which was a challenge with 8 adults to feed, a 2 ring burner on main floor and another ipropane one in the basement, only oven was a small tabletop one. The property itself was lovely
When most listings say 'mountain view' they mean on a clear day if you squint you can kinda see it out the bathroom window. Not this place! Snowcapped peak views abound - through every window (I didn't actually check every single one, but it's highly probable)! It is IN the mountains. The host was very friendly and prompt in reply. One of our kids messed up (repeatedly) on entering the key code after returning from a hike, which got us locked out. One quick text and we were inside in moments. I couldn't believe how quick the response was, we were very grateful for that. Note - we arrived on March 3rd. If you are not from around here you'll definitely want AWD if not 4WD if you're showing up around this time. The roads are steep and snowy. Saw a couple sports cars thinking they stood a chance and had a good laugh.

Our Stay in Sunshine Valley, Hope, BC – A Mixed Experience With Serious Concerns
We stayed at this VRBO property in Sunshine Valley, Hope, BC. While the house had some enjoyable features like a trampoline, sauna, and firewood area, our experience was mixed due to serious concerns.Check-in was stressful. I messaged the host the morning of our arrival but got no reply until 3:45 PM—just 15 minutes before check-in. No instructions were provided beforehand, and the host’s number only showed up shortly before check-in.The house was decent, but cleanliness was a big issue. Two of my friends and I got severe bites from what appeared to be bed bugs in the basement bed and hide-a-bed couch. It’s been days, and they’re still not healing. Also, the basement toilet and kitchen sinks were clogged and made loud noises at night, disrupting our sleep. The BBQ was broken and in very poor condition, so we couldn’t use it at all. With the high cleaning fee charged, these issues were unacceptable. The host did allow a 2-hour late checkout, which was appreciated, but it doesn’t make up for the health and maintenance problems. This property has potential but needs serious attention before I can recommend it to others.

Dear Anurag,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed some of the unique features of the cabin such as the sauna, trampoline, and firewood area.
I’d like to address your concerns directly and clarify a few important points. First and foremost, regarding the claim of bed bugs: we take such matters very seriously. As soon as we received your review, we hired a professional pest control company to conduct a full inspection of all beds, sofas, and other areas in the cabin. They provided us with an official report confirming there are no signs of bed bugs on the property. This cabin is located in a forested area, and as such, the presence of some insects is always a possibility, especially in summer months, but we want to be clear - there are no bed bugs.
Regarding check-in, our automated system sends check-in instructions by 3 PM on the day of arrival, which aligns with our 4 PM check-in time. We're sorry if this timing felt tight for you, but we do this to ensure the home is fully cleaned and inspected prior to guest access.
In terms of maintenance, we regret that the BBQ was not in ideal condition and have since replaced it. The noise from the plumbing and the temporary clog in the basement toilet have also been addressed. While our cleaning team conducts thorough checks before every guest, we acknowledge that occasional maintenance issues can arise and are always ready to address them if notified during the stay.
We were happy to offer you a 2-hour late checkout as a gesture of goodwill, and while we understand your disappointment with certain aspects of your visit, we do not accept responsibility for claims that are not substantiated, particularly regarding health concerns.
Thank you again for your stay and feedback. We are committed to continuously improving and maintaining the high standards our guests expect.

property and carpentry very questionable
The area was nice but lots to hazards for children. Next to the suspended net area plywood screwed on from the bottem has to be done from top very dangerous front door area stunk like septic and no proper covers over them and just rubber mats covering one spot. seemed like there are ongoing renovation going on and should get a professional help looks they have no clue what they are doing. no real kitchen there, like a stove with oven. just has hot plates in there and a propane tank under the counter to run the the down stairs 2 bunner hot plate thing. very dangerous to have a tank in the liveing quarters and all the tile and grouting work was done VERY poorly lots of questionable things on the property and no out building with cot's like the ad said just a old camper turned into sauna. The parking area very small and tricky to maneuver gate doesn't open very wide and the weeds and grass was not cut in a very long time like 3 to 5 feet tall so i did that myself with a weed eater very rocky property. no real lawn either. most time we spent outside on deck or by the firepit. there was only one real bedroom there everything was moved around from the pics on the add so idk what to say about that. not very happy with our stay i will not be recommend this place to anyone
The place was very interesting. We had a great time and the kids enjoyed a lot too. The net was the highlight of the trip. And the surrounds were beautiful.
