Long weekend in Yosemite
Overall - enjoyed our stay, but if your group is picky or particular, this place is not for you. Great for an unfussy group of adults or a family with young kids, but this place could use some TLC, refreshing, and deep cleaning. Pros: -Location proximity to attraction -Location inside the park -Number of beds -Full kitchen Cons: -Bathroom light doesn't work, so they put a lamp on the bathroom counter as the primary light source. -Fans were dirty and the overall place seemed to be in need of a deep clean. -Kitchen is minimally stocked and needs to be refreshed. -Fireplace is broken but they acknowledged this and that they are waiting for a part. -Lots of bugs in the outdoor living space (patio furniture) and found a handful inside. -Water comes out brown for the first few seconds in the sink and in the shower. Maybe this is normal for old mountain houses? I don't know. Overall - definitely a step up from camping and one of the cheapest properties in the area, but certainly a very rustic experience.
