Professionally managed by Canbnb.
Centrally located, this beautifully appointed north-facing corner apartment is filled with natural light and homely touches.
Step inside and relax with a coffee and the morning paper in the delightful winter garden, or curl up with a blanket on the soft, pillow-filled couch for some Netflix (spoiler: that work of art is a TV in disguise).
With all of Canberra’s best restaurants, cafes and shops right downstairs, this luxury one-bedroom apartment ticks all the boxes for a great Canberra escape.

High above Canberra’s famous Lonsdale Street, this apartment has a unique, warm and instantly welcoming charm. Every corner of the space has been carefully curated to make your stay something special.
Originally designed as a boutique hotel, this is Canberra’s architecturally stunning Nibu building. You’ll be staying in one of only a few corner apartments where continuous floor-to-ceiling windows surround you and bathe the space with glorious afternoon sun.
The apartment is secure and finished with the highest quality, premium materials: beautiful polished concrete flooring, rich leather and timber panelling, custom LED under-cabinet lighting and all-brass fittings make this designer series apartment truly one of a kind.
While bright, the apartment feels incredibly cosy and private. The bedroom windows are tinted and there are block-out curtains and blinds throughout. All windows are double-glazed to keep you warm in winter and the ducted air conditioning is a godsend during Canberra’s summer.
You have free WiFi with a speed of 96Mbps, you’ll have the fastest available NBN 1000 plan (because who wants the basic plan?) and, should you wish to mix business with pleasure, the large timber dining table makes for a spacious and bright work area. The apartment includes a beautiful ‘The Frame’ TV that you can use to access your Netflix and YouTube accounts. It also has access to all local channels. Note that we don't provide Netflix, YouTube and other online streaming platforms subscriptions so you will have to use your own account.
Shampoo, conditioner and body scrub, tea and coffee, a large ironing board, and an Italian-made salon-quality hairdryer.
A secure underground car space is included, too. And, yes, it’s right next to the lift.
Location
Feel like going out? Good. Lonsdale Street is Canberra’s premiere coffee, culture and nightlife district—you literally couldn’t get closer if you tried. All the capital’s best cafés, shops and restaurants are just a lift ride away. And if you don’t feel like changing out of those slippers, Uber Eats will deliver to your door in a heartbeat. There’s an organic grocer, Blackhearts & Sparrows wine store and numerous cute restaurants in the building as well.
What else do you need to know?
- the mattress is a queen and chiropractor endorsed
- there’s a large, super quiet washer-dryer and iron in the laundry
- a basic selection of breakfast foods (muesli, milk, tea, coffee, etc.) is provided, though you’ll need to stock up for longer stays (the Canberra Centre is a short walk away, or there’s the Coles Express just around the corner).
Parking
The secure underground parking garage on B2 fits one car and is located right across from the elevator.
There is also paid street parking and additional paid parking across the road.
That’s it!
If you’re looking at this listing and thinking ‘gee this is a bit nice’—you’re not wrong. I didn’t want this to be just another Airbnb. The space has been carefully crafted and filled with beautiful furniture and things for a truly special stay. Welcome to your Canberra sanctuary. I hope you enjoy your time here.
There is a key safe for self-check-in. Only 1 guest key set is provided. Please take care not to lose the keys as their replacement will incur a fee.
We provide self-check-in instructions and leave you to enjoy your stay! However, if there are any issues please contact me through the Airbnb app and I will be able to provide assistance.
Lonsdale Street is at the heart of Canberra’s premiere culture and coffee district. The strip is filled with the capital’s best cafés, bars, restaurants and shops so you won’t have to walk far to get a tasty treat, bargain, or both.
If you’re after coffee or a spot of brunch, in the courtyard below is my favourite café, KYŌ. You can practically smell the flat whites from your balcony. And right across Lonsdale is another local staple, Barrio (pictured in the gallery). Both places are cosy and pour A+ coffee. Check out Bitten Goodfoods for groceries and simple dine-in treats as well as Canberra’s first Blackhearts & Sparrows wine store, also in your building.
As for drinks and dinner, you can’t go past Lazy Su’s vibrant atmosphere and delicious modern Japanese and Korean dishes. Their cocktail list is fun too. Next door is Tipsy Bull, which does a mean deconstructed gin (try the ‘Bloody Shiraz gin’, thank me later) and yum share plates. Grease Monkey and BentSpoke Brewing Co are right around the corner and have been host to many a craft beer and burger session, as has Hopscotch, which is also great for a relaxed schooner or two (especially in their beer garden when it’s warm).
For a more traditional but no less delicious meal, play ‘spot the politician’ at Italian and Sons or eightysix. And you might not think it from the street, but Civic Pub has good local vibes and a solid kitchen. Top your night off with ice cream from Messina, also right next door. (Did I mention how close you are to everything?)
A private and secure underground car space is included with easy remote control access. The elevator is nice and big and there are no long corridors to haul your luggage down either—just a few paces from car to couch.
There’s so much within walking distance that you’d be forgiven for not venturing far. A short stroll down Lonsdale to the Canberra Centre opens up a whole new lot of restaurants and bars I haven’t even mentioned here. And, of course, if you feel like going further afield (we’ll email you our guidebook with more great recommendations), there seems to always be an abundance of Ubers minutes away on Lonsdale Street.
You will love this apartment.
We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as muesli, milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to purchase food items for longer stays.
