About this property

Charmingly Country, Quiet, with POOL, yet 30 Minutes from Lake Area

The Country Haven Lodge is a great choice for those looking for a quiet more private place to vacation. If your get-a-way means getting away from the crowds and getting back to nature and yourself, come stay and enjoy the comfortable, quiet surroundings! The lodge is next door to our home but still quiet as we don't bother you. We are only about 30 minutes from the lake and all of it's offerings. Ha Ha Tonka State Park is about 15 minutes away as well as many other attractions. Enjoy the busy things in the area then come back to the quite to grill your supper or just sit and look out at the Ozark hills and relax.
We have a 15X30 above ground pool, open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, for our guests enjoyment! (Approx. 4' deep throughout.) It's 12X20 deck is connected to the back porch for privacy and convenience. So, swim or sunbathe and enjoy the beautiful view while relaxing with loved ones!
The lodge is set on our working farm that has cattle and chickens. You might get to see some cows and baby calves and hear a rooster crow!

1200 Square feet on two floors.

Two bedrooms upstairs with king beds.

The lodge kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and silverware. The frig has an ice maker and there is a dishwasher, stove, oven and microwave, toaster and coffee maker. All you will need to bring is the food! There is also a gas BQ grill if you would like to use that.

42' TV with Roku and a DVD player.

Great cell phone reception.

Sorry no pets allowed and no smoking in the lodge. There will be lawn mowing part of the time as the property does have to be maintained for your comfort and enjoyment!

We limit our guests, including anyone you might invite for an evening, to 6 guests including children and babies. No extra invited guests without prior consent of the property owners.

We loved the peaceful atmosphere. The puppy Pepper was so cute and always greeted us when we were outside. Was disappointed that the pool had been shut down for the winter without notice. The beds were so comfortable. The view was so beautiful.

This house was absolutely beautiful. Completely immaculate on the inside and out. The fresh bread and eggs were a great treat. The views were amazing to enjoy a sunrise cup of coffee. And of course, the star of the property, Pepper (the dog) was loved by all.

This is such a beautiful property. The pictures do not do it justice! Sheila is a wonderful host and you’ll love the outdoor dog named pepper! Such a relaxing vacation.

Very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful home and landscaping with shaded deck and pool! We love it here and book it for same time every year. Sheila always has us homeade bread which is yummy!

Beautiful property. Clean, warm and inviting. Hosts, home and stay were all lovely. Felt very safe, very relaxed, and very at home. It was the perfect place to unplug for a few days. We enjoyed the pool, the wrap around porch, grilling and watching the animals. This home was very very clean and comfortable and you can tell it’s very much meant to be so. I could not recommend more and hope to return next summer.

Very relaxing stay

The setting and surrounding area are full of nature sounds and beautiful views. We were able to see local fireworks across the valleys from the pool Friday night. The house was very clean and well kept. The owner was responsive to any communications. The pets that visited from the owners home were a highlight! Amazing trip!!!

We had such an amazing time! The cabin was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We were greeted with a fresh loaf of bread and farm fresh eggs, which is an unheard of perk! The gardens and area surrounding the cabin are amazing and the view - outstanding!! The pool is pristine and provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy the surroundings. And our little furry friend, Pepper, was the best!! We will definitely return! Thank you!

Perfect for a quiet family getaway!

This was our second stay and it was just as beautiful, fun and peaceful as the first time. The house is gorgeous and the wrap around deck is the perfect spot for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The pool is just what you need to cool off and play with family. We’ll be back for sure!

This place was awesome! Very quiet and peaceful, Great location! Loved the animals and the pool! The cottage was a great size! I would definitely stay again! Owners were very friendly but kept to themselves. Pepper their puppy was out little pal, which was fine!

Country Relaxation

When we first arrived we were greeted by Pepper, their Australian Shepherd. When we walked in the home was very clean and we were treated with a homemade loaf of bread and some farm fresh eggs for our stay. If you are looking for a nice secluded stay with a pool, look no further.

Clean, quiet and perfect for a family vacation

We recently stayed at the farmhouse, and our family of four truly enjoyed the amenities and our friendly hosts. The accommodations are perfectly clean, and all of the linens are fresh and smell wonderful! We especially enjoyed walking down the gravel road with our sons, looking for treasures in nature. The 11 day old calf was a bonus!

Absolutely Phenomenal

This has been my ultimate favorite location that I have ever booked for a trip. I loved so many things about this place. The scenery is beautiful, the pool is perfect, the hospitality was top tier. Our stay here was amazing. The cottage was perfect right down to the homemade bread and fresh farm eggs. Shelia is absolutely the best host ever, she was readily available anytime we needed her which was never because she had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. But Pepper and Snooks were the highlight of our trip. We will absolutely be back.

This was the perfect spot! Away from the crowd, a pool, a beautiful house, and not far from many activities. We loved watching the hummingbirds from the pool and night swimming. The homemade bread and fresh eggs were absolutely amazing!!! I'd love to go back someday.

The perfect getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary, and we could not have asked for a nicer stay. The property is absolutely lovely and so well maintained. The views from the porch were beautiful and it was just such a peaceful place to relax and get refreshed. The house itself was very clean and comfortable and Sheila was the perfect host. This was our first time staying here, but I am sure it won’t be the last!

Great family getaway

My wife and I had a great time here with our two young children. The weather didn’t cooperate much the first day or so but we still managed to explore Ha Ha Tonka. When the rain cleared we were able to fully take advantage of the private pool which was absolutely perfect for what we wanted, which was a quiet family getaway from the usual electronics and work life. Hosts were great and answered any questions we had quickly.
