We had a wonderful time! The owner was very friendly and worked with us! There were a few things that could use a lil attention but it would not keep us from staying again. We had everything we needed and it was close to every place that we like to visit. We had some guest just about everyday and it was quite a surprise….mother bear and cubs!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Very clean! Very roomy! The room with queen bed listed is actually a full size, but slept very comfortably. Cody the host was very responsive to messages and checked on us. Pet friendly, we did bring covers for the furniture with us. Had Bear visits multiple times. The picture for the grill area is very deceptive. Does not look the same. Also very steep lot for vehicle and walking. We did enjoy our stay very much and would recommend the rental.

Overall was not bad, cleanliness could have been better seen several large bugs inside, recliner was broke, trash everywhere on the outside of property. Hot tub cover was broke there for the hot tub was dirty that was ver disappointing. But overall nice cabin easy to locate

We were unable to use bed in bottom floor due to mold being everywhere, and there was also garbage all over outside of property upon arrival.

8 Bears Cabin

When we arrived there was trash all over the property. We know there were bears around because we got the pleasure of meeting them but it could have been cleaned up. Although they were dead, we did find several cockroaches around the cabin. The cabin itself needs some TLC. The showers were small and need replaced. The video machine didn’t work so the kids were disappointed. The driveway is very steep but we did have plenty of parking. Overall it was quiet and cozy.

Cabin Facility with Amenities and Location Setting were amazing. The only concern was cleanliness of facility: roach in bathtub, cleanliness of bathrooms & sheets, underwear left by previous guest under a bed were concerning for as nice and beautiful place as this was.

The cabin was very nice. Some cobwebs around the house, dust and such. We did have a few issues but the manager responded so professionally and quickly. All issues and cleanliness with the property are issues that can happen in our own homes. We were happy and my family enjoyed our stay.

Cabin is very nice and easy to find.

The Cabin is beautiful but the driveway is a little steep. There were a few things in the cabin that needed some maintenance but overall we were well pleased. We love our family time in the mountains.

Very spacious for the entire family

The property was great! It’s really a 4.8. The space of that cabin is unreal, had 7 adults and two kids sleeping comfortably! Check in was easy, Great location to the city. Only reason not a 5 was small things specific to me. I would have liked a better taken care of grill. And the toilet flap in our room was warped causing constant water flow to toilet.

BEAR is the word

Very nice, driveway was a challenge for 5 cars. Lots of cabinet space in the kitchen but no room for food unless you rearrange things. The last night there the shower on the main floor would not shut off and nobody to get ahold of, so the water ran most of the night. We finally got it off.

8 Bears Lodge and 2 Real Ones

We loved everything about this place except for the cleanliness. There were dishes that had food on them in the cabinet, it looked like the basic dusting was done, but inches thick of dust throughout the cabin. When we washed off the dining room table it looked as though the paint was coming with it. Might need to coat it. Master upstairs shower needs to be updated felt like it could break anytime you moved your feet. There was still trash with food outside the cabin when we arrived in the bins. We were visited by two different black bears-this was not necessarily bad as we did enjoy seeing them up close-and nothing you can do about it as they are part of nature, but the bin holding old food trash didn’t help our situation. There were no extra trash bags either. This sounds like a terrible review, but if the cleaners did their part, this trip would’ve been perfect. We would rent this cabin again!! Great memories were made

Beautiful home but lacking care and homeliness

We stay in Gatlinburg often. We will not consider this house again. Beautiful house! Definitely not professionally cleaned. Bed cover on couch bed downstairs was not clean at all. Couch's in the "theater room" were not sat on. They are hard and small. It says it sleeps 14 people and we were disappointed to get there and the upstairs pull out couch bed was not even suitable to sit on, much less sleep on. There were wires sticking out of the bed and the bed was falling through the base. We didn't pull out after seeing this because we had kids with and didn't want them to get hurt on the wires. Could be better stocked for staying awhile. When I go on vacation I don't plan to pack my kitchen or bathroom. I think a trash bag per day would be better to supply and more toilet paper. Silverware could be updated to accommodate children to eat with and not giants. The house has a musty smell. Overall I would say this house is a money maker and not a house to supply for people to come and stay awhile.

Don't rent this cabin.

Our family was disappointed. No response from numerous emails. Dust everywhere, dirty floors, carpet in kitchen was a joke, it states fullystock kitchen that's not true. Driveway is ridiculous, extremely steep, van lost traction every time leaving. No view at all as stated. Hot tub had only 5 working jets, mold on shower heads, the shower on the top floor leaks in to the 2nd floor bathroom, dishwasher is trash, dirt and food on plates, cups and glasses in the cabinets. we called they said they had done a temporary fix on shower on top floor before and it must be going bad. We asked them to come fix it or do another temp. fix on it and she said her husband has covid and they couldn't do anything. I asked if someone else could be sent and she said no. Also she informed us that the owners would be coming up this week after we left. I hope they invest in this place and fix things properly. But looking at the reviews this crap has been going on for a while. Don't waste your money. These people don't care about this cabin and it shows. No supplies or broom or mop so I couldn't even clean myself. Not enough seating in living room to accommodate our 9 person family and it states it is for up to 15 people. Only 6 people could sit in living room at a time. 1 oven mit and 2 pot holder that was so old my daughter git burnt through the pot holder. We will never use Hemlock Hills Resort Rentals EVER AGAIN. We recommend you Don't either. Lady on the phone very rude and no help. It also states that if you need anything to call or email Shirley, Brady, Cody, and Jennifer don't bother they still have not answered our emails. So I wonder why one of these 4 couldn't come fix the shower. We thought yes they have some bad reviews but we thought maybe that they had fixed the issues or that maybe people just didn't write good reviews because they had a good time and didn't think about it. Well don't be fooled. Like us. JUST DON'T!

The cabin was amazing. I even saw a bear one night below the balcony. The problem was the drive way. I had four wheel drive so I was fine but my friends did not. This created a bummer driving and pushing the car up the drive.
