Ideally suited for 8 adults and 4 children, The Beach House is on South Haven's “Golden Mile” offers a welcoming respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Retreat to where time is measured by the tides and the sun.

Living Spaces
As you walk up the front steps to a covered front porch, you'll feel like you're home already. And it just gets better when you walk inside. While The Beach House offers all of the modern day amenities guests are sure to appreciate, the property was built in 1910. The homeowner revamped this home with a careful eye to details, so Guests will still find much of the charm of yesteryear still remains. In the main common area, a full wall of windows with West exposure offer lake views as far as the eye can see! This area offers two plush sofas, two swivel chairs and large TV. The space also offers a small workstation and newly renovated powder room. The homes "original" living room is a fine example of the early 1900s charm offering original wood floors, a charming fireplace (decorative purposes only) and coffered ceilings. Nearby, you will find the formal dining room with seating for 8.

Peak & Non-Peak Season
During the peak season, this home would have a 7-night minimum and would rent Friday - Friday. If you are interested in staying a full week in the non-peak season, September through April, please send in an inquiry with your travel dates and we are happy to supply weekly pricing for your trip.

Cooking & Dining
Who likes to cook? You'll love doing it here! Our fully equipped and outfitted kitchen offers an array of appliances including dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator and even a stand mixer! There's plenty of storage for all your groceries and a huge center peninsula and trendy pendant lighting. The gorgeous dining table is adjacent to the kitchen and comfortably accommodates 8.

Bed & Bath
The first floor offers one double bedroom with a private bathroom, perfect for those with difficulty managing stairs. Also located on the first floor is a convenient half bathroom for guests. On the second level are three additional bedrooms. A bedroom with one queen bed and a bedroom with a queen bed and two twin beds(daybed with trundle) share a hallway bathroom. On the other side of the home is a queen bedroom with twin bed, that offers a private (newly renovated) ensuite bathroom.

Outdoor Spaces
The Beach House is a true example of outdoor living at its finest! The large covered porch offers a serene environment for calm reflection or simple pleasures, while gazing into Lake Michigan. Here, enjoy a conversation seating area as well as an outdoor table for al fresco meals! With the home being perched on a low bluff, there is easy access to 70' of private lake frontage and sugar sand beaches. Enjoy sandcastles by day (some beach toys provided) and the warm glow of a fire by night! The oversized and shaded lawn back up top offers ample room for yard games, and seating with lawn chairs that can be found in the tenant storage.

AMAZING PROPERTY!

We spent an amazing Mother's Day weekend with my grown children and couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting! Not only is the house clean and spacious, but the view is breathtaking! The kitchen is well appointed, the house is charming and perfectly located to offer peace and quiet but not too far away from town. We loved everything about it and will surely return!

A+: Evening views, beach access, top flight kitchen supplies, cleanliness, media & books/games, access to town. B: ideal for separate families who want different wings of the house that are not connected. C: Beds are all pretty high up, which makes it tricky for toddlers sleeping alone in a room. We had two adults, a toddler and a newborn — and the way the rooms are arranged, we all slept in the same room. Overall a great stay. Warm, welcoming and we hope to be back!

Girls getaway

this was an absolute little gem of a house. Upon arrival walking through the gate we fell in love. Getting down to the beach was a challenge but one we soon figured out as to not pass up the nice weather we did have. Even during the rain the house provided a zen of relaxation on the back deck laughing and relaxing with friends.

South Haven beach house

The house was great for our group, right on the beach and spacious enough for everyone. Very clean. The beds were a bit hard for our liking, but okay for the weekend. One of the toilets broke twice but we were able to fix. Also the kitchen faucet handle broke off easily but we were able to fix. The walk down to the beach was a little overgrown we thought it could have been cleaned up a bit.

South Haven Lake House

Our family really enjoyed the Lake House. Though the house is old, it was equipped with modern amenities like high speed Internet and cable. Incredible sunsets viewable from the covered porch or backyard patio. We loved the quiet time and playing ‘old fashioned’ board games and puzzles. We had limited sun, but found time to enjoy outdoor games that were available in the shed—bean bag toss and badminton.

Beautiful views

We had a lovely stay at this home! The house is very clean and comfortable, and the views and access to the beach are great. The house has everything you would need. The primary bedroom with the queen bed is up a different flight of stairs than the other two upstairs bedrooms, so families with kids who will need them in the middle of the night may want to consider this. The stairs in the old part of the house are a bit windy and tricky, but the first floor bedroom and the primary with the queen upstairs are easy to get to. Overall, I would recommend this house, and I hope to stay here again one day!

We loved cooking out looking over the lake! Spent a lot of time on back porch! Didn’t want to leave the lake looked beautiful the day we left :(. The stake came out on my 15yr old on the way to beach but I put it back in after we walked around to get back to the house. We had a compliment from someone staying next door that we had one of the best views and we did good picking it out. Thanks for sharing your lake house with Us!!

Friends weekend away

We had the best time at our ladies’ beach retreat weekend! The property is beautiful, the original older part of the home is charming, and the new addition matched the original house so well and added more space for gathering. We had seven adult travelers and everyone had their own bed. The furniture was very comfortable, and there were lots of thoughtful amenities provided. We caught an amazing sunset Friday night and watched the storms come in over Lake Michigan Saturday night from the covered back porch. The beach is just a few flights of steps down the dune, not bad at all compared to some Lake MI properties we’ve seen. Very private beach with beautiful view of the coastline. Thanks so much for a great weekend!

South Haven Beach house

Our family just recently spent some time at the South Haven Beach House and had a wonderful time. The access to the beach is phenomenal ! A vintage home with nice updates that were very accomodating. We were able to have a fire on the beach one night and lounged around on the beach and on the covered porch the bulk of our time there. We grilled out every night, played cards/games and sat at the large kitchen table......and the view......is spectacular. There is nothing like having your morning coffee on the covered porch watching and listening to the waves of the lake. The wireless internet was a big plus for work. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to sit, relax and enjoy your family.. Will definitely be visiting again in the future, thanks for sharing your home ! Ohio

Perfect Beach house for a friends' get-away!!!!

This house was fabulous last year, but with the amazing updates it was unbelieveable!! The kitchen, bathrooms and livingroom space were well thought out and impeccable. All the conveniences of home and then some. The sound of the water was so relaxing and the view makes you hard pressed to want to leave the house or the porch. Don't worry if it is rainy or overcast. A short walk down the beach leads you to the downtown area where you can wander through the shops or stop for coffee. The downtown could have kept us busy for another day. A few minutes from the front door was a great paved trail for a run or a bike ride. Don't pass up this opportunity for fun and relaxation in an absolutely great house!!!
