This is by far the best of the five Royal Palms condos we’ve stayed at in the past three years. Updated, newer appliances, comfortable furniture, and extremely clean. Only thing we noted was a very creaky bed frame.

Great place to stay

My husband and I found this condo very short notice and I am so glad that we were able to stay here. The location is great and the condo was perfect for our stay. It was clean, everything worked properly, and the property manager was very nice/communicative. It is the perfect size for 2 guests in my opinion. We have no complaints. We usually vacation in Florida but if we find ourselves back in Gukf Shores we will be staying in this condo again.

My family and I have stayed in many condos over the years and never have we walked into a spotless condo without a grain of sand like we did this one. We also had an instance where communication was key and Lizzie went above and beyond. We highly recommend this condo!

Fantastic stay

Very nice condo. Everything was as described. Having a washer and dryer was such a life saver with two kids. Being ontop of the beach made the haul of toys in and back out a breeze. The view was everything we had hoped it would be. Enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the ocean. 100% would stay here again and would recommend it to others. We also enjoyed that it was at the end of the strip so there wasnt as much through traffic and the beach wasnt as clustered as it has been prior when we were at the other end.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Condo complex was nice, condo was clean and balcony view was great. Cons: WiFi was not working during our stay and air conditioning was not working during our stay. Property managers were unavailable during our stay (closed at 5 pm Saturday and all day Sunday) so nothing was fixed while we were there. They gave us a 12% refund for our trouble.

Did you try calling the after hours service for the AC not going below 73? While they may not have been able to assist you with the internet, they would have surely called the MOD about the AC. We hope that you will consider another stay at this beautiful condo for a future beach trip.

Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean, some issues with small things: Vent fan in master bath didn't work, both sinks the stopper would not work to keep water in the bowl, no storage for clothes during our stay. Had to leave clothes in suit case, lighting in Master bedroom was very dim which made it harder to find what item of clothing you were trying to find in suit case, unit was much smaller than what we are used to staying in. Two years ago we rented through Bender and stayed at Clearwater. Between the two we would pick Clearwater over the unit in The Royal Palms. The pictures on the website are very misleading, they make the unit look much bigger. We love Gulf Shores, my favorite place to vacation but we won't be staying at The Royal Palms again.

The one bedroom units at Royal Palms have two bathrooms, which is very convenient for guests. The view, just next to the State Park, is spectacular, and the amenities numerous.
