The fact that there was no A/C was buried! Ceiling fans very old and carpets stained. I have been with VRBO for 10 years a d have never seen a property like this one for rent. It appealed to me because of the amount of beds we needed, i wish i had been more careful.
Quiet neighborhood. Only suggestion is curtain or blinds on upstairs bedroom window.

Great location, close to Shasta and there is a tiny entrance to Lake to swim. 110v for car charging. 3 car parking. A platform to play pickle ball. Friendly neighbors. Easy reach to freeway, gas and groceries. Overall enjoyed the stay. Kids had good time.

Great Location for Lake with Ample Parking
Be prepared in summer/fall hot months, the rental has no A/C. During our stay something was wrong with stove creating soot on pans. Cookware was not very good. Dishes needed wahed before use. Cabinets in kitchen very old, doors would not stay completely closed. Needs blackout curtains to keep heat out of house and privacy. Screens had gaps allowing insects to enter. Bed we used in room at end of hall was comfortable. Restroom had a mildew odor. There is ample parking for several cars inside or truck with boat. There was a boat ramp 5min away in Antler or others about 20min near dam.
We had a large group of family/friends stay at this place for 4 nights. There were several adjustments we had to make to be comfortable but it was an overall positive stay. Although we knew there was no a/c, it was 105 degrees when we arrived and the home was around 94 degrees inside which was too much to handle, so we had to open all the windows and hang out outside until it was cool enough at night to come in. Also there was no ladder to climb up to the top bunk bed and there was a 74 year old woman sleeping there so it was pretty challenging for her to get up and down. The hideaway bed was unstable so it could not be used - guests that were supposed to use it had to borrow the mattresses from the trundle bed in another room and sleep on the floor leaving my son with having to sleep on the couch (which he didn't mind). Some guests anticipated that there would be soap/shampoo and towels there so these items had to be purchased after arrival (we did find 5 towels but there were 10 of us there). There was a lot of confusion about how to enter. We did receive the instructions and code but most of us have never seen a key lock box and had no idea that you have to pry it open and that there is a key inside. We all enjoyed having a place to stay that was fairly close to our weekend gathering spot at Dekkas Rock. Thank you for offering this space, we will probably rent it again for next year's reunion!

Great if you don’t want to cook.
First, the bedrooms and main areas of the house were very clean. The beds were also very comfortable, we all slept great.
Sadly, the kitchen was terrible. The stove was a small propane unit that appeared to have natural gas nozzles on the burners, big tall yellow flames instead of the nice blue flame that supposed to be there. Also a burner didn’t work. We had to change our meal plan because there simply wasn’t enough utensils in the kitchen. The pots and pans were all garage sale trash. One of the cast iron skillets was used on the open fire pit and my hands still have soot because I tried to clean it. All the pots and pans were half-cleaned. I rewashed everything which was hard because there was no scrubber or sponge that wasn’t really old and kinda gross. The kitchen faucet was about to come off the sink. Don’t count on a nice charcoal barbecue, it’s more of a huge fire pit in the middle of the front yard.
Finally, the supply of shampoo and bath items was very poor. There was a used big bottle of men’s shampoo and conditioner, and some hand soap for 2 bathrooms. Better bring your own.
For all the room to sleep it was okay, for a cost that is more than a luxury hotel after fees it really was poorly set up and maintained.
