About this property
Lake Shasta Home on Dooney Creek Cove, Lakehead
Shasta adventures abound near this inviting 4 bedroom, 2 ½ bath, Tudor style home in Lakehead CA. Enjoy the convenient location on a quiet cul-de-sac. Within walking distance of both grocery stores and restaurants make this an ideal home to spend quality time with family and friends. Walk out the back gate and down the path to the waters edge. Home is located on the Dooney creek cove behind the 5mph buoy. Anchor or beach your boat for the duration of your stay at your own risk. Water levels vary greatly year to year and throughout the summer as they draw the reservoir down. Driveway will accommodate approximately 6 full size vehicles or 4 vehicles and 2 trailers. Additional parking is available in the cul-de-sac on a first come first serve basis. An RV also fits in the side driveway. Water and power can be provided to the RV at an additional charge, but no sewer hook ups are available on-site. The garage is also available for coolers, water toys, and has an additional refrigerator for your use. The well equipped kitchen should provide all the necessary items to get your large group fed. In addition, a gas BBQ and pellet smoker are onsite for the outdoor chef in the group. Most of the days are spent on the water or enjoying the large outdoor deck. But should you need to get out of the heat and into the comforts of the air conditioned house. You will find two separate spacious living areas where groups can relax and beat the heat. At the end of the day choose from one of the four bedrooms. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a king size bed, fireplace, bathroom with shower, toilet, and dual sinks. Bedroom two is located downstairs with a king size bed and easy access to the ½ bathroom. Bedroom three also upstairs offers a queen-bed. The last bedroom upstairs is great for housing the kids with one bunk bed (twin & Full), and a trundle bed (2 twins). These two bedrooms share the remaining full bath. Antlers Marina and Sugarloaf Marina are both located within 1 mile of the home and have public boat launches as well as boat slips for rent, gas docks, and convenience stores on the water. With so much to do on and around Shasta Lake this home is an ideal base for all your adventures.

Very nice and well appointed house on the north end of Lake Shasta. This house was perfect for two families with teenagers. Antlers Marina is a 5 min drive making getting to and from your boat a breeze. We would recommend this house if Lake Shasta is in your plans
Spacious and well equipped, this house was perfect for our annual trip with three families. Divided living spaces allowed kids and grown ups to hang out separately. The deck and lake are awesome—so much fun was had by all!
House is lovely, well stocked with towels, linens, water toys that came in so handy! Location close lakes, easy drive to other water locations, falls etc.
Property was as advertised. Check in and property information was great. Unit was very clean, well located, 40 minutes to Mt. Shasta Ski Park etc. Three families gathered together at this place and there was ample space for all people. Very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again.
Great House, the front Looks Like a Castle, close to Everything and has Amazing Views.
We loved our stay on this property. It is very close to both Mt Shasta and Lake Shasta, it even has part of the lake in the backyard. We hiked a lot both days and came to relax at night. Very spacious house with everything you need for a perfect vacation. I loved all the surroundings of these area. Overall very recommended house, I would go back any time.
This is the second time we stayed here. The location is excellent. The outside area is great for barbecuing and playing. They have added a wonderful outside sectional which allowed 9 of us to sit comfortably. There were also bikes, a pool and foos ball table. The house its self is perfect for a large group of people. There are two family rooms which allows us to separate. The house is very clean and comfortable. The hosts are great at communication. Absolutely one of the best homes we’ve stayed at.
This house is incredible. It is nicely decorated and the furniture is very comfortable. There was a space for everything. A game area, very well stocked kitchen, dining room table, very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The outside area was wonderful to sit out in during the morning and evenings. Our host was as very responsive and gracious. We have stayed in several homes and this is by far our favorite.
My dad was celebrating his birthday and asked his kids to join him in Lake Shasta. We looked at a few places but this one has everything we needed for 3 families with 6 adults and 3 kids. It was so comfortable for everyone with a fully-equipped kitchen, entertainment, access to a creek out back, and recreation in the garage. It was a wonderful spot we all enjoyed.
The house was great, it had everything you need. The only thing that needs to be more specified is if there is a water filter or not which at the end was no a big deal we could get water in the convenience store. The house has towels, plates, silverware, spices, coffee, pots, pans, washer and dryer (detergent also), a lot of games for entertainment. We will definitely be back
We had a fabulous time at Michael’s home. The house was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the pool table, foosball and corn hole. We even put together one of the puzzles and played games. We were very happy with the 3 outdoor cooking options…pellet grill, propane grill and blackstone. How awesome is that?! We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Sorry we messed up the garbage pick up day Michael.
Extended family lake get away, grandma and two families. Plenty of room to space out but be together. Everything we needed, very well appointed kitchen and nice touches with out door grill, smoker, and a black stone. Pool table and foosball in garage with extra fridge, yard games. Cozy home with lake access as the water level is so high this year, really fantastic. Close to multiple boat ramps was easy to spend day on the water with a nice house to come back to. Long drive way able to park our boat with no problem. Excellent host very responsive and helpful, we’ll be back.
This property had everything we needed and then some. The pictures really don't do it justice. Tons of amenities that were fun to use on the water and while hanging at the house. All in all this was a great stay!
Thank You Michael! For our wonderful stay in your home.
Kids enjoyed playing pool table and hide seek. Everything was clean.. amenities are awesome like what you’ll need in hotel. I’m glad we cancel our hotel reservation, lt was little more expensive but the privacy and togetherness that this home brought us, was priceless.
A clean, cozy, and spacious house in a quiet neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay in this house. It was spacious, clean, organized, and full of amenities and activities. It's 1-2 hours drive from many tourist attractions (e.g., Bruney Falls, Shasta Dam, Lassen Volcanic Park, Sundial Bridge, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, and Shasta Caverns).
The host was very responsive, and the check-in/check-out process was also smooth. We'd love to come back in the future.

This is an awesome cabin - clean, well maintained, and has great amenities. The pictures don't do it justice. Mike was also very responsive and super easy to interact with. We loved our stay here and hope to visit again.
Family age 3-80 from various parts of CA and WA came here for the holiday. We had everything we needed and had a wonderful time even in wet and cold weather. Check in was easy and property as advertised
