Looking to recharge in the mountains? Hop onto I-70 to experience breathtaking hikes and views within an hour. One of Colorado's main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive a little over an hour through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We're also within a couple of hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain.

This location is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Denver and the Rockies! But, of course, it's impossible to see everything in one visit, so we look forward to hosting you again after you fall in love with Mile High Life.

Getting Around:
Navigating the Cole neighborhood in Denver is convenient, thanks to various transportation options. This area is also highly walkable so makes an excellent location for strolling!

Public Transit: Denver has an efficient public transit system operated by RTD (Regional Transportation District). Bus routes pass through or near Whittier, providing easy access to downtown Denver and other parts of the city.

If you've never been to Denver, getting oriented is easy. The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Downtown is South of where you will be staying. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas, while you can hop on I-25 to access Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park.

Good stay
We enjoyed our stay and the home had all of the amenities we would ever need. We liked having the lovely fenced back yard and it was short walk to places we came to see. Communication was easy. Parking was tricky with even a small SUV in the one car garage.
