Gorgeous Chautauqua rental! This South end property is just what the family needs for your Summer vacation at Chautauqua Institution! This property offers 4 bedrooms & 3.5 baths. This house is close to everything. The kids can enjoy club nearby or take a walk down the brick path to the Hall of Philosophy or Amphitheater. Bedroom 1 on the second floor offers a Queen bed. The other 2 bedrooms on the second floor offer 2 Twin beds in each room. The second floor also offers 2 full bathrooms with showers only. The third floor is a beautiful large loft offering a King bed and a Queen bed and attached renovated full bath with shower only. There is a private porch on each level to enjoy along with 2 parking spaces (need to purchase passes through Chautauqua Institution). Cable, Wi-Fi, and central air conditioning are also offered at this property. Feel free to bring along your furry friend as this property is dog friendly as well! The home was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable - exactly what we had hoped for. Unfortunately, the management company (ERA) was completely unresponsive when issues arose, which made our stay unpleasant. Before checkin, I asked if we could extend our checkout and I would pay for an additional hour from (10-11) so we could enjoy leisurely breakfast. It is not a busy time of year, yet ERA flatly said no. That set the tone. When we arrived, the fridge was at 67* with no ice, as if it had been turned off. We called right away but never received a response. With a 15-month old's milk to keep cold, this was very concerning. On Saturday, we all sat down to watch football only to find out the owner had canceled the cable. This was NOT noted in the listing. We called and texted ERA more than five times that afternoon and evening with no response.When I called on Monday, they admitted they didn't know the TV was disconnected. When I asked for some compensation, I was told, "it is not our responsibility," and the owner also said no. Well then -who is responsible?Because of the lack of flexibility, communication and accountability from the management company, and the owner not disclosing the TV situation, I cannot give this experience a high rating, even though the home itself was lovely. ERA seems to have a monopoly in this area and don't feel the need to satisfy customers.
