Sitting within an Avocado/Lime Orchard this Private Apt features a Queen Bed, kitchenette with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, TV, bathroom with state-of-the-art shower, closet, and a nice, quiet, peaceful deck with patio set and umbrella for your morning breakfast or early dinners, etc. This apt is above a barn/garage that is private and not utilized for horses or cars, and close to the creek.

With expansive views reaching to the mountains, air swept by ocean breezes, and a perfect year round climate, Temecula is the perfect place to spend your next vacation!

There is plenty to do in the area! 10 mintues away is beautiful Old Town Temecula, where you can shop, dine, go antiquing, see a live band or a live show, and more! 20 minutes away (by street) are the wonderful Temecula Wineries! Float down Rancho California and stop at some of the best wineries in S.Calif.


With over 45 wineries in the Temecula Valley, which feature aware winning world renowned chefs in their restaurants, it's always a great day in Temecula. New Breweries have popped up as well, so you can enjoy some aware winning brews too! And don't forget the wonderful Hot Air Balloon Rides over the vineyards!

It was very accomadating, had everything there for what we needed Good Job

There was only one thing we had trouble with is the stairs, were a little on the older side and it was rough on us. For the young it would be great, so therefore we will not rent that particular property. But other than that it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You Bob and Karol Ghera

Will most definitely be back!

We didn't get to spend as much time enjoying the studio, patio, and serene property as we would have liked to however, the place was absolutely beautiful, we were very comfortable, and we have vowed that we will be coming back so we can enjoy it more. The owner was extremely responsive and very helpful, the studio was clean, the bed was comfy, and it was a perfect temperature when we walked it. Like I said, we'll for sure be back! Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful spot to relax!

We live in North Carolina and rented the studio for a month to be close to our children and grandchildren in Temecula. It was perfect for us!!!!! We were able to spend lots of time with them ,and had a clean, comfortable and cozy place to rejuvenate!!! A comfortable bed and small complete kitchen provided us with everything we needed! The shower was also a treat! There is a smart tv so if you have a netflix account you can log in and use it while you are there! We will definitely rent the studio again!!! Only one thing wrong with trip.....we miss our grandchildren already!!!!

Clean and comfortable

The exterior is a little rough but the interior looks to have been remodeled with in the last 2-3 years. The room was clean. No place to open your suit cases but the floor makes the space difficult to navigate, especially in the dark.

Quiet and relaxing

This studio apartment was a perfect "home away from home". The studio was immaculately clean and comfortable. The amenities, such as the fully-stocked kitchen including some spices and baking items, ample supply of towels and linens, and access to a full-size washer and dryer makes it a perfect retreat for a short or long stay. It was so relaxing to sit on the porch and take in the gorgeous view of the orchards surrounding the spacious property or gaze at the star-filled sky. Even the drive up and down the hills was breathtaking. This is a Temecula treasure and I hope to be back soon!

Nice secluded studio

I give the property a 4/5 star rating solely based on my preferences in a place to stay. Additionally, opinions differ and the following review is based solely on ours. The studio was very, very clean and well kept. As the description states, it's only 10 minutes outside of the city, but 10 minutes into the hills, at night, without cellular reception, can be somewhat intimidating. The place was easy to find during the day, as the directions are perfect, but at night, we experienced some dense fog which made travelling up/through the hills quite difficult...additionally, if you do get lost, there is not any cellular reception to assist you. I recommend bringing a standalone GPS. The apartment is exactly as described. If I would have known ahead of time, I would have dusted off my old Garmin and used that to navigate. From what I understand, Verizon is the only company with reception, but don't take that as gospel. There was a recommendation for Mo's Egg House for breakfast...and that was delicious. Also, when we arrived, it was pushing about 95 degrees. The A/C was not on when we got in, so the studio was an oven. I understand conserving energy and everything, but it was blazing hot inside when we arrived. All in all, once we figured out how to navigate to and from, and got the A/C turned on...the place was great. It's quiet and you get to experience the woods for a little bit. It's a beautiful drive and it's only about 20 minutes to wine country and 15 minutes to Pechanga Casino. I would stay here again now that I've been. Thanks for the clean studio and great hospitality.

This home on the hills of Temecula is a beautiful location for a peaceful weekend. It's small, not for more than 2 people but it includes everything you need and more. We will definitely stay again soon.

Great place to stay as a couple!

The place was up in the hills of Temecula, yet not far from everything.. The property is perfect for two people, a very clean and nice studio. Kitchen had all we needed to cook dinner and breakfast with spices and coffee. We loved their European? enclosed shower, never seen anything like it! The place did get cold, but the air/heat unit worked perfect and we kept cozy. I wish the TV was bigger as we sat in bed to watch and it could really get upgraded to even maybe a 27".. The first night and for breakfast the next day we sat outside on the attached patio sitting area where it was so pretty and tranquil surrounded by nothing but tree's and road runners! its set back on the property where you can enjoy sitting on the outside front area bench and listen to the birds.. so very relaxing! We had a very nice and relaxing time there and enjoyed the Temecula casino and wineries which were pretty close.. We hope we can booked this place again for the summer!!

great getaway

It was just as pictured; calm, quiet, and the perfect place to stay. If you don't want to be bothered with anything or anyone then this is the place for you. I loved it. It is in the luxurious hills of CA set away from everything. The apt itself has plenty of room for two people and all of the amenities are up to date and very modern. I would absolutely stay again.

Nice remote getaway

If you are looking for a hot spot in the city, this isn't it. About 10 minutes out of Temecula you will find this very peaceful efficiency apartment in the Temecula Hills. It's nice to wake up in the morning with a cup of coffee and no sound of traffic. The owners provided just about anything you could ask for.

Cozy, clean, quiet rental. Minutes from all amenities & Old Town Temecula. Very comfortable bed & pillows. So much nicer than a hotel! Lots of wineries close by as well as scenic drives. Would definitely recommend!

The view from patio was not as I imagined but overall ok. A little problem with shower draining but owner was quick in fixing the problem. Overall a nice place to stay and very quiet. deposit was returned in a timely manner. would recommend for couples that like a quiet place

Great for Rest and Renewal

Marvelous! Tanith's Retreat is indeed a wonderful retreat away from the world - yet only 10 minutes away from civilization. I came here for rest and renewal and it was easy to do in such a quiet and serene environment. The owners were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help me when I needed to stay an additional night. One of the things I liked the most was hearing an occasional horse's whinny. I felt like it was Mr. Ed talking to me and I enjoyed it very much. Tanith's Retreat is a real gem and I appreciate the opportunity to enjoy it. Thank you!

UNBELIEVABLE value for the price!!!!!

For the past 15 years we have rented from VRBO all over the country. This studio apartment may be the best yet in terms of price vs. what you get. It is a shockingly awesome find-don't think it is a "less than" place because the price is so affordable; it is worth much more. It is meticulously clean and bursting with extras that the owners obviously chose with care. A deck complete with table/umbrella/comfortable chairs/bbq grill make eating out a spectacular "in nature" experience. Get some wine from the nearby wineries and enjoy it on this deck-this is definitely a "bonus room" that you will use for star gazing, morning coffee, dinner, lunch (if you're in), etc. The comfortable, lie-down recliner is perfect after a long day of hiking, wine tasting, shopping in Old Town Temecula, beer tasting, and casino hopping. All of these things were were able to do in one comfortable day. There is wi-fi here, a small desk with a great desk chair perfectly comfortable for watching TV, a full kitchen and the owners even had 6 fresh eggs waiting in the fridge for us! We will come here often, loved all the wildlife and activities Temecula has to offer. If work ever got less crazy, we'd be here once a month!!

Cozy hideaway in the hills

We had a nice time at Tanith's Retreat. Overall, the property is cozy and comfortable. We had a little trouble with the TV (which is rather small) while we were there, but I think technology in general is a bit challenging up in the hills. We called about the TV and the owners were very responsive and helped us. The studio was very clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. We also really like the views and the privacy. We will definitely be back.

Lovely Quiet Mountain Setting

The place was perfect for my needs - I was getting away to do some writing work, which I did mostly outside on the little deck with outdoor table & chairs. I enjoyed the surroundings the most: beautiful blue skies, mountains, citrus and avocado trees, amazing birds, and crisp fresh air. The coyotes at night were very active, which I found spooky and wonderful. The space itself is great value for the price, well kept and the little kitchen is nicely equip and inviting. The owners were more than helpful and accommodating, answering any questions I had promptly but leaving me to work uninterrupted. The only significant downside here is that if you have any cellphone carrier other than Verizon, the is NO CELL phone RECEPTION. Given a personal situation in my family, this was troubling. I made it work though internet communication, and never had any issues with their wi-fi, thankfully. All in all, a great little spot tucked away in the mountains, a good 10 minutes outside of town in Temecula. Hope to be back again.

Perfect for a getaway!

The property was exactly as pictured. We stayed with our son who slept in a pack n play. There was plenty of room. Since we were there for a wedding we didn't spend much time there during the day but we cooked in the mornings and enjoyed relaxing evenings. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Studio Condo

We were in town for the weekend for a Wine Country Wedding. The studio was the perfect small home for us and conveniently located nearly freeways. We were able to make it down to San Diego and kayak as well since the drive is not far at all.

Wonderful private hideaway.

We had so much fun at the Hideaway Apartment that we extended our stay! Located not too far outside town to pose an inconvience yet far enough to provide seclusion and privacy. We enjoyed the quiet country setting in the pine trees and breakfast each morning out on the deck soaking in the sun. The studio apartment was fully equipped with everything we could need or want and even felt larger than the pictures indicate. The only minor problem we encountered was the way cool shower was a bit slow to drain. This is definately a location we will head back to for a romantic getaway!

The location is amazing, close to the Wineries & Breweries, yet you feel like you are out in the country. We get the ocean breezes most every afternoon, coastal fog on some evenings, and the weather stays pretty gorgeous all the time. The property is 6 acres with an avocado orchard, limes, oranges, and more being planted. The peace and serenity, the creek, everything about it we love.
