About the host

Hosted by Chantelle Nicholson

Host profile image
We're locals, born and bred, and we were lucky enough to purchase this beautiful property in August 2023.

Tyson and I are avid horse riders, and love spending time with our family and pets. You will often find us out for a trail ride or training our rescued Kosciusko Brumbies.

We love hosting because we love people. We are proud of our property and the wonderful community we are building here at Watagan. We purchased this slice of paradise so we could share it's beauty with others!

Why they chose this property

I (Chantelle) was lucky enough to grow up on the other side of the Watagan mountains, trail riding almost every day as a kid. There's a lot of sentimental value here. And when looking for property of our own last year, Tyson and I saw an overwhelming about of potential in this particular property. This area is the perfect balance of peace and quiet, while not being too far away from civilisation when you need it.

What makes this property unique

You only have to drive down the driveway to know what makes this place special. It is hard to put into words, and is more of a feeling when you get here. We know how difficult it can be to find great holiday accommodation that is pet friendly even just for dogs... But how many holidays can you bring your horse on?! There's such a dense ecosystem here, plant and animal. Everywhere you look there is some natural beauty to admire. The place is really versatile. You can arrive and just unwind and take it all in, but you also have the option to hike, horse ride, fish, or take advantage of the state forest and use dirt bikes, mountain bikes or 4WD up there.
