Escape to your estuary hide away, located in the paradise of Pukehina.
Sand, surf & sun, you will feel right at home with 2 bedrooms, estuary views and a two-minute walk across the road to the beach.
Nestled at the back of our property, is the hidden rustic gem, getting those perfect quiet sunset evenings, while the fireplace warms you up for the winter evenings.
Your own deck area for BBQs along with grass area looking out to the water to relax. Please note this does not have a kitchen.
The space
Two bedrooms with queen beds, your guest house is located at the back of our property, this has a comfy lounge area that looks out to the estuary, with the basics of a small bar fridge, jug, toaster and main cooking on the outside bbq or use of some appliances such as an air fryer and electric frypan. Your own private deck area to enjoy your meals. Bathroom and shower along with an outdoor shower also if you get back from a dip in the ocean.

With a short walk across the road to the beach or wade out through the estuary, plenty of water to cool down in the summer months or snuggle up in-front of the fireplace in the cooler months.

Please note this is not a kitchen, basics only, washing dishes in outdoor kitchen sink. Please keep this in mind when preparing your meal options, alternatively there is Fish and Chips at the Dairy as you drive into Pukehina.

Note: Duck shooting season is 3 May - 3 June 2025, guest may hear early morning activity from hunters along the estuary, usually around dawn. This is a seasonal occurrence and typically limited to early hours.

Any additional guests visiting must be approved prior.

Porta cot & basic baby items may be available on request.

Guest access
Parking on the side of the road, you’ll follow the signs through the main black gate and down the back to the left of the property you’ll find a small gate and alley way with the Estuary Side Of Life sign.
Off street parking on request including boat

Other things to note
We live onsite with our two young kids and friendly dog Otis, you will have to pass our house to access your guest house so we appreciate your understanding to be respectful of our privacy. Please note there are security cameras on our property for the drive way and our home however these to not face the air bnb nor is there any in your private area. Solely for the safety of the driveway and the front of our property (air bnb is located at the back)
