The Lookout - Oregon Beach Vacations

The Lookout is a beautiful, cozy and bright two story, two bed, two bath house overlooking Beverly Beach just north of Newport. This rental has everything you need for a wonderful relaxing coastal vacation with room for up to four guests. Experience the brilliant sunsets over the sparkling blue Pacific while relaxing in the outdoor hot tub, or explore the beach with your friends and family. The spiral staircase beckons guests up to the romantic primary suite equipped with a mini kitchen, fireplace and access to a covered deck. Make memories with your loved ones while looking out on the scenery above the lush and private landscape. There are two flat screen TVs, two fireplaces, granite countertops, movies and games galore. The downstairs bedroom offers one king size bed. Beverly Beach State Park provides convenient beach access and is only a short ten minute walk from The Lookout. This vacation home is attractively decorated, and the open floor plan offers spectacular unobstructed ocean views from the comfort of the living room, dining area, kitchen and both bedrooms. Bring your binoculars and try to spot Beverly Beach's resident grey whales! They are often seen feeding year round just off shore. There are many fabulous restaurants in Newport's Nye Beach area and famous bay front, but if you prefer to dine in, the kitchen is well equipped, with everything you need to make a wonderful homemade meal. Gas and charcoal grills are also available for guest use if you're hoping to make your favorite barbecued steaks. Come down to The Lookout today, and explore the Oregon coast with your family and friends on your next vacation!

Excellent Place to Stay with a Gorgeous View

This place was exactly as advertised. The views were stunning and the hot tub was fabulous after a day out in the rain. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. We will definitely stay here again if it's available when we go back. AMAZING!!!

Lovely view of the ocean

We enjoyed staying in this house with such a lovely view of the ocean. We took some walks in the neighborhood and also walked on the beach. The master suite is quite comfortable, and the view is best from the deck off the master suite. There are some amazing sunsets!

Gorgeous Views

Views were absolutely amazing! Perfect place for two couples. Hot tub was hot and had a perfect view, too. Beds were a little soft for our taste but everything was clean and cozy. If you're planning to cook while staying here, be sure to bring all seasoning and oils. Otherwise, very clean. Quiet neighborhood.

Great location, beautiful views. Quiet neighborhood. House was as advertised. We were not able to access the laundry facilities. The door was padlocked. The host did respond promptly when asked. However, we were never able to locate the mysterious‘crystal bowl’ that contained the keys for the padlock.

Pretty view but wouldn’t stay again.

The house was located where you could see the ocean from afar. The hot tub was nice. Unfortunately I would be aware that when we stayed there the house smelt very musky. I almost instantly gave me a migraine. I definitely would not recommend someone staying there if they are sensitive to strong odor.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our second stay here. Love the view and access to nearby Beverly Beach. Only downside was some of the cookware we used was already dirty, the washer and dryer (which we were able to use last stay) were locked up, and there're no kleenex boxes in the place.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The very good: location! Fantastic views of the ocean, easy access to the beach from nearby Beverly State Park. The bad: Dealing with that very narrow steep staircase. Impossible to take your luggage up. But can do using outside stairway. Hey I'm 80 and I dealt with it. But was very careful to limit my climbs. The strange: The hot tub controls are upside down when read from the outside, where you will be when turning it on. For 4 days I had it set at 99. Never heated up. Then I realized it was set a 66, not 99. By then had desperately pushed all the possible button combinations. All the lights flashing, but I got it heated up. No instructions for the hot tub available. Lots of instructions on don't do this and that, but NO SPA INSTRUCTIONS. Called number provide, sent man out next day. Supposed to arrive 9;30-10:00. We gave up and left at 11:00. He came, but too late to get instructions from. We enjoyed the spa for the last two days. Very nice. Other stuff: well equipped with all the dishes, pots etc. No plastic glasses if you want a glass of wine or beer in the hot tub (I would never take glass into hot tub) so bought a couple and left them. Enjoy .. if someone does not take them. Upstairs master bedroom great for evening movies, etc. No DVD upstairs so had to improvise. Nice clean new tile, carpets, paint, cupboard. However, furniture thrift store quality. Not much privacy. People wandering by, cars driving by, from other nearby homes. Hot tub not private. Forget romantic candle light interlude in hot tub. No problem at all with plumbing mentioned in early reviews. Septic tank fixed and working. Weather. Lousy, Always!!! August dry season. No rain during my stay first week of August . Always cloudy. High temp 68 degrees F. Beach cold. 68 degrees!! In August, no less. Lots of excellent restaurants, beaches, sights nearby within 10-15 min drive. No UBER. Must have car. A bit overpriced. Great views.

Where to start? Couldn’t get in because the lock on the door was broken, wet spots from dog pee on carpet, WiFi disconnected not working, poor cellphone coverage, furniture not comfortable with one leg broken on chair, advertisement said washer and dryer but they were locked up. This was the second half of our trip and we needed washer and was counting on it. The manager was full of apologies but the WiFi wasn’t fixed until the last day.

Perfect Ocean Front View

Excellent location. Great views. Outstanding deck looking out at the ocean. Hot Tub was great (could have used directions but we figured it out). 5 minutes from Depoe Bay, 10 minutes from Newport. Lots of hiking trails, wineries/bars/great eats. You could stay the whole trip at the house or venture out to the great little sea side towns.

It's the view

The view is exactly as amazing as it looks! We caught beautiful sunrises and sunsets here. We also loved easy access to Beverly Beach, where you can walk miles, collect driftwood or play with your dogs. Not thrilled with the cleanliness when we arrived, with well-established spiders in the bathroom shower. Also, if you missed the fine print, the listed washer/dryer amenities are apparently not for guests. They are locked up, which put a wrinkle on our trip. Communication with the host was not very satisfying; it's a corporate-run place, and it feels like it, with pennies pinched in every direction. I wish this house could still be loved like it probably was decades ago, but it is what it is.I guess our expectations were a little higher given the view and how nice the area is.

Perfect beach house

Beautiful views with a few drawbacks

The location was great the door lock didn't work properly so access and locking up was a big problem. The septic system is so full the shower doesn't drain and the bath fills as you shower. Great views hot tub was great
